The Commander

Angry Old Man is my most hated deck. This is absolutely a Stax build, winning through gradual attrition and resource denial. Opponents get frustrated with the game taking longer to achieve victory. Stax is a controversial archetype, yet it did get created. Why let a good thing go to waste even if it is disliked. With Angry Old Man as the Commander, you are naturally the target automatically.

Win Condition

Most people might think this build would be about slowing down the game so that I can work out putting together a Combo. You will find none of that here. As previously mentioned, we are winning through gradual attrition and resource denial. This explains why I have so many creatures, a lot of which have flying to get over existing creatures or for block other existing fliers that might be on the table.

My Top Picks

1: Root Maze - Let's slow it way down, just because.

2: Null Rod - Let's make stuff useless.

3: Giver of Runes - Just when you thought you were going to block.

THE END.
