THE COMMANDER

Flubs, the Fool converts infinite casts to infinite loots. You can close loops with Underworld Breach, Brain Freeze, Walking Ballista, and or Finale of Devastation. As a rule of thumb, put Eruth, Tormented Prophet onto the battlefield ASAP.

THE THEME

Flubs, the Fool is directly inspired by "The Fool" card from the Rider-Waite Tarot deck, representing new beginnings, leaps of faith, and journeying, mirroring the tarot's themes of starting a new adventure or path with potential danger, like walking towards a cliff.

Keep in mind, this is not a reactive-responsive build. This is a leap of faith. We are not worried about what anyone else is doing. Since we are the fool, we are not focused on what is going on around you. Just sit back and let the cards fall as they may.

This is a tarot card themed deck. Perhaps the cards will play out in your favor.

BEING THE FOOL

1.) Underworld Breach: Escape Brain Freeze, Lion's Eye Diamond and Lotus Petal to mill out your opponents then cast Wheel of Fortune (using Eruth, Tormented Prophet or Flubs, the Fool removal to prevent yourself from decking).

2.) Food Chain: Exile and cast Squee, the Immortal to generate infinite creature mana and storm (exiling Flubs, the Fool to prevent yourself from decking).

3.) Cloudstone Curio: Cast and return Cloud of Faeries and cost creatures to generate infinite storm (bouncing Flubs, the Fool to prevent yourself from decking). Net mana with Gaea's Cradle / Wild Growth / Utopia Sprawl.

4.) Earthcraft: Cast and return Shrieking Drake, tapping an Island in response to the Drake trigger, to generate infinite storm and mill your deck. Net mana with Wild Growth / Utopia Sprawl. Or use Cloudstone Curio + two cost creatures + any basic lands to generate infinite mana and storm.

5.) Displacer Kitten: Cast Timeless Witness, then Lotus Petal / Lion's Eye Diamond to generate infinite mana and storm by blinking Timeless Witness. Kitten pairs well with Cloud of Faeries and Earthcraft.

METER

I think that the competitive meter does not matter at all on this site. I have a few cEDH builds that are high on the meter. However, I have literally watched the meter drop or rise just from custom sorting, changing the deck name, or altering a few words in the description section (including this one). Although this deck is ranked #4 in multiple places, I watched it sit at position #2 in several categories for quite a while. Not sure how the ranking system works having said that.

NOTE

I have been wanting to build this deck for a long time. And now... I finally have. It was a foolish thing to do.

THE END.
