Song of Creation

Enchantment

You may play an additional land on each of your turns.

Whenever you cast a spell, draw two cards.

At the beginning of your end step, discard your hand.

It’s worth noting that Rielle, the Everwise will only track the first instance if you discarding a card, so for example in the instance of Lightning Storm will only ever draw you 1 additional card, as each land discard is a seperate trigger.

With this in mind, i’d suggest ditching Rielle, the Everwise, as its usefulness is really limited, and its mana cost is awkward.

I’d also suggest ditching a bunch of your other “gimmicks” to focus on assembling the combo ASAP. Hivestone and Manaweft Sliver are faar too reliant on eachother, and not really needed. Song of Creation feels like it is a nonbo alongside your main plan - you need a full hand, not lands on the battlefield. Quandrix Apprentice also feels pretty “meh”.

Cards to consider:

  • Quirion Ranger can return a land to your hand in a pinch

  • Life from the Loam would be amazing here, but might be outside your budget.

  • the big thing you need is a fast way to get all your combo pieces, otherwise you’ll struggle to ever assemble it. Stuff like Opt, Serum Visions, and Consider are all helpful for this and i’d suggest filling the deck with as many of these as you can fit.

Also this needs to be in here! Temur Ascendancy. This is a more powerful type of effect like that, but with a more risky downside - Song of Creation, and lastly this card is by no means an auto include, but I like it and it's fun - Guided Passage

The reason I play 80 cards is for Song of Creation I have decked myself out in a 60 card version lol

Also, the reason I play Yorion, Sky Nomad is because of me going up against mill so often. It is another thing I can play if I wiff on a land on the draw. Also I believe if I exile Song of Creation on the etb, I get to keep all the cards I draw instead of exiling them because it comes back at the end step. I could be wrong though.

ChrisHansonBiomancin, check out my other songs deck Song of Land Distractions. I tried using Ominous Seas and I felt like it is super slow. I have found that Midnight Clock is almost required when playing Song of Creation . I'm also running Yorion, Sky Nomad to help me have more cards in my deck so that I don't potentially deck out against mill. Lemme know what you think!

Got to finally play the deck and it was AWSOME! Library of Leng was suprising good, not having to discard handsize after a big cantrip copy, ended up winning with Sword of War and Peace because of it. Cant imagine how good it's going to be with Song of Creation . Two other cards I was unsure of were Aura Mutation and Artifact Mutation , but they have proved their worth by being those instant speed token makers on steroids!

Also Song of Creation is often a card on the chopping block I'm considering cutting when new cards come out. I still may cut it to get more instants/sorcerys into the deck.
