So, I have always loved the idea of Eldrazi, and I made a mono green Eldrazi deck previously that just felt... boring. Going to try and make it more interesting by using Animar as my commander.

Lets try this again...

So I have always loved the idea of Eldrazi, but aside from Mono Green (which I did and found boring), and completely colorless, decided Animar, Soul of Elements seems ideal for the position of Commander in Chief of the Lovecraftian army.

So, lots of rocks and ramps (Spawn and Scions etc.), some interaction and counter suite, and of course, the big titans. It is essentially a beat down deck, but annihilator makes it very one sided. Animar, Soul of Elements can make these guys cost less, so can drop an Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre , of Kozileck, butcher of truth quicker than initially expected.

Combo - So there is a few combos in the deck as an alternative win con:

Ancestral Statue + Animar, Soul of Elements + Impact Tremors / Purphoros, God of the Forge is infinite damage if I can get Animar to have 4 +1/+1 counters on them.

Cloudstone Curio + An Eldrazi Titan ( Emrakul, the Promised End , Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre / Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger ) and I can either prevent an opponent taking another turn and draw out each opponent (would need a Vedalken Orrery in play after further understanding of this, so I could cast Ema in the opponents turn I am controlling), or Exile/Destroy every permanent on my opponents board. Just need a large Animar . With the Ema combo they actually lose because you gift your opponent infinite turns.... that you control.

For the Manabase, I have decided to move from the Checks and Bond lands to the Pain and Filter lands ( Yavimaya Coast and Cascade Bluffs etc.) As this gives me access to that important symbol.
