Miara, Thorn of the Glade and Kamahl, Heart of Krosa elf tribal EDH. Each of these partners solves a critical problem elves faces as a tribe: Kamahl gives access to an overrun effect whenever needed, and the fact that he goes back to the command zone means that there will always be an opportunity to close a game out with combat damage, provided that I have the mana to cast him; Miara resolves the problem of Wrath effects devastating the elves player because, provided that I have mana available, Miara replaces those elves on the battlefield with cards in hand to set up again.

Please note that the reason that Gaea's Cradle is not in this list is because I only own one copy of the card and it is in another deck currently and I do not like shifting around cards. I also have not included Bayou because I do not presently own one and am not interested in purchasing it at the moment -- If and when I were to add either Cradle or Bayou to this deck, each would replace a basic Forest. For substantially the same reasons, the deck does not optimize its fetch lands or include a Mana Crypt or Mox Diamond.
