"In the past, people were born royal. Nowadays, royalty comes from what you do." -- Gianni Versace

Hey, there! Welcome to my Queen Marchesa (long may she reign) deck. This deck's strategy involves setting up an effective pillowcastle and using enchantments to squeeze the life and resources out of our opponents. You can hold onto the monarch token for an absurdly long amount of time simply by making it very costly or nearly impossible for opponents to attack us. Queen Marchesa (long may she reign) is a commander that can be taken in many different directions, and I have played a lot of them. I first built Queen Marchesa (long may she reign) as a Mardu Aristocrats-style deck when I changed my commander from Teysa, Orzhov Scion. This playstyle, however, I feel is a lot more flavorful (as our opponents try to get past all the red tape needed to aquire the throne) and encourages politics and decision-making (whether you are the archenemy or not).
