The deck is heavily weighted toward high value creatures, protecting those creatures and using multiple combats as a win condition.

Sunforger is a notable card for this deck, as with many Boros decks, to be used with the instants. The three most useful are Incendiary Sabotage, Settle the Wreckage, and Teferi's Protection in my experience.

I run Tajic, Blade of the Legion mainly because he is indestructible and in political games he is normally not targeted as he is just a 2/2 when he is not attacking. This gives the appearance of subtly off turn with the inherent dangers becoming apparent only during combat. He is also a great chump blocker in my experience.
