The Constrictor and Scales helps you hit 5 counters sooner, making getting to that point just a little bit easier on your deck.
The remaining three help act as finishers, with Exsanguinate helping you to sustain/stabilize in the face of aggro.
Tutors such as Merchant Scroll, Mystical Tutor and Enlightened Tutor manage to avoid breaking the bank while helping to improve consistency of the deck, while also being cheap options that will help you to find the cards you want/need when you need them in a game.

jreeves080591 You are half right. When a spell rebounds it does get exiled so Relearn and Call to Mind cant target it the turn it was casted to rebound. But, when the rebound triggers on the following upkeep the spell goes to the graveyard after it resolves making it a valid target for those 2 spells. That's what makes the combo very convoluted and I might have messed up the order, but it does work.

Hey The_Baneslayer and thanks for your input. I have to agree on the landbase, so far it's underwhelming, especially with BB costs so I'll atleast add the cheap duals providing black. I really like Second Sunrise too, (Faith's Reward is an option too). So far Recall, Call to Mind, Deja Vu, Relearn, Scribe of the Mindful, Archaeomancer and Pull from the Deep are something to consider, but not sure how many and which to implement ?
I've avoided combos in this to not have to have emphasis on the tutoring. But if I decide to go with the combo I understand I need to have a few to pull it off atleast once in a lifetime.. I dislike combos in EDH simply for the requirement of tutoring :(

Gotcha. I might have to throw Rise from the Tides back in then, at least for the added board presence. I opted for Mind's Desire since it is a spell so I can rebound it and recur it. I didn't realize you can't rebound any of the spells you get from it though. Still, it pops off if I have a loop going with Call to Mind and Relearn.

Hm gotcha. I agree, needs more protection. I'll toy around with that department a lil more and eventually update the final product once its perfected. As for extra turns, I see the use, but I'm weary. Non-exiling extra turn spells gives me an infinite turn loop with Relearn and Call to Mind in hand, which I know is a 3 card combo, but I'm seriously against most infinite combos. But on the other hand, the self exiling extra turn spells seem like dead spots since they can't be rebounded. So again, I'll have to mull it over and testplay in order to decide. But I do have a Part the Waterveil on hand at least.

Great deck mate ! Dig your effort to get the new legendary cards competitive as soon as possible! What's the point of running Approach of the Second Sun as it's rebound wont be cast from your hand and thus it's no wincon? or am i missing something? And how about cards like Relearn or Call to Mind for infinite turn loops ?

+1 for Talent of the Telepath. Amazing card to give rebound or flashback.
I'm surprised at the lack of Call to Mind or Relearn. You also DEFINTELY want Metallurgic Summonings in this deck. The construct tokens it creates are a win condition in and of itself. I've used it many times in my Taigam deck to wall off creature strategies while I tutor up Aetherflux Reservoir.
