  • pirates try to be cheap, evasive and plentiful so as to trigger Brass as soon as possible
  • some extra evasion / unblockability thrown in for good measure
  • steal-your-creature -cards as a subtheme, with some sac outlets to support
  • finally, some card draw and supporting cards
