Theme

This Sans-Black ({R}{G}{W}{U}) build is based on the show, Dragon Prince. It's a beautiful show and is based in a fantasy world, with Aragorn, the Uniter representing King Harrow.

During the course of the show many different types of creatures and beings are presented, and many walks of life are represented. I'm hopeful that the pure level of variety and diversity amongst my deck's cast of characters provides a bunch of fun interactions.

Thematically, I'm looking to always keep a sense of wonder and amusement about my choices at play- I've got technical skills and cards meant to back up anything I choose to do, so fundamentally.. each turn I'm casting something (and that's by the numbers) and I can certainly seem to string together a game plan until Aragorn comes down (and that's by the playtesting).

Construction

I intended to have this build be very easy to face, but a whole bunch of fun to interact with, as it carries a bunch of super cool, not quite over powered cards. I'm very much looking forward to having a Battlecruiser level deck, that creeps in power the longer the game goes unchecked.

So the deck is constructed with these core principles in mind:

1. The deck should have a balanced availability amongst the four colors so that it always feels as though you may cast any and all spells you're holding.

2. On each of your turns, you should be able to cast at least one spell. Progressing your board state turn by turn is very important since we have so many different cogs that are turning.

3. Aragorn should inevitably hit the field, and be the card that helps you close out the game by way of overrunning, damage, etc.

Discussion

This is a thematically inclined deck first and a competitively constructed deck second. I deeply enjoy playing it in test form so I can't wait to actually have this list in physical form for my friends to face off with.
