Why this deck? Captain N'ghathrod reminds me of Captain Davy Jones and his Flying Dutchman crew, a folkloric myth that haunted the minds of seafaring sailors throughout the Atlantic waters. As my first commander's deck and favorite pirate horror theme, I plan to reinforce the milling, menace, and horror with exiling abilities to solidify my chances of victory and strike fear/frustration in my opponents.

What's my strategy? This deck likes to mill, build graveyards, and play from the graveyard decks. So, to aggravate the "graveyard hate" sentiment, I felt the need to combine milling with exiling abilities to minimize any hopes of resurrecting your fallen cards (it's not personal, just business). I aim to make my sideboard a specialist in exiling libraries, hands, and graveyards (an important asset to use before the game, depending on my opponent's profile and tactics). At the same time, the main deck is set to deal with most of the milling, horror, menace, and phyrexian-creature damage.

How do I see this deck moving forward? Honestly, I would like to achieve a high-power casual deck with enough options to control the pace of the game, win or get at least close to a certain victory, but more importantly, unleash strategic uncertainty in my opponents' minds.
