Maybeboard

Chainer seems underplayed for how powerful his ability is, so I thought I'd take a crack at building him.

The biggest downside of playing Chainer is that when he leaves the battlefield, all the creatures you spent life and mana bringing out are exiled. We get around this with cheap sacrifice outlets like Phyrexian Altar , Phyrexian Plaguelord , Disciple of Griselbrand , Viscera Seer , and Altar of Dementia . The creatures will return to their owners graveyards instead of being exiled, and we can get them back once we re-cast Chainer

The life-loss from his ability can be mitigated by Blood Artist -esque effects, Exsanguinate / Gray Merchant of Asphodel , Kokusho, the Evening Star and Disciple of Griselbrand .

Steel Hellkite is a way we can deal with enchantments and artifacts, something mono-black has trouble with.

There is one infinite combo in this deck. You start with Chainer, Dementia Master , Phyrexian Altar and Blood Artist , Falkenrath Noble , or Zulaport Cutthroat on the field. You then either cast or reanimate Sengir Autocrat , creating 3 Serf tokens. Sacrifice the tokens and Sengir Autocrat using the altar, producing and draining an opponent of 4 life. Repeat this process as many times as you wish, using Chainer to reanimate the Autocrat and netting and 1 life each cycle. Sengir Autocrat can be replaced with Abhorrent Overlord , or provided you have at least 2 Blood Artist effects, Grave Titan , although Grave Titan will only allow you to break even on mana.

The maybeboard has cards I think could work, but I'm not sure what to cut.
