GROUP HUGS NOT DRUGS

These wizards know how to throw a good party. Keep everyone moving through their decks with lots of card draw, which allows folks to make the best plays possible since they have access to lots of information. It's Planeswalker harm-reduction :)

Give everyone plenty of space to dance while you set up your protection suite (Propaganda, Ghostly Prison, Sphere of Safety, Orbs of Warding, Sterling Grove). Vow of Flight and Spectral Grasp are our bouncers this evening, keeping the rougher creatures away from where our wizards are doing their thing. Isperia, Supreme Judge, and Edric, Spymaster of Trest encourage our opponents to aim their swarms at each other, rather than at us, while Aerie Mystics and Avacyn, Guardian Angel can provide our revelers with some added protection. Avacyn can also use her ability to help our enemies' creatures, if they ask nicely.

Inevitably, some spikey deck is going to be helped out WAY more than a janky/themed deck. That's why we're packing Rapid Hybridization, Pongify, Beast Within, Swan Song, Polymorphist's Jest, and Swords to Plowshares as instant-speed answers to plays that are ruining the fun for everyone (ie making the board too asymetrical, too fast). Eye of Doom is a fun card that lets everyone in the game pick something on the board to break-- how cool is that?! It's hard to feel too salty about losing your permanent if you get to pick something else on the board to do-away with :)

We want to be able to send everyone home for the night if things are getting a little boring (not too likely with all the card draw and mana we're providing the board, but things happen). We do this by pumping mana into Skyscribing, Prosperity, or, if we only have one lonely soul who isn't getting the hint to get off the dance floor and catch the early train home, Blue Sun's Zenith. Jace's Sanctum, Arcane Melee, and Zendikar Resurgent all make this easier, while Karametra's Acolyte and Kruphix, God of Horizons totally pull their weight in providing us with large amounts of mana to use. Celebrity couple Grand Architect + Pili-Pala are invited specifically to show off how they create infinite mana together! Spectacular!

With all this card draw, we want to be careful that we don't over-extend ourselves and find ourselves unable to draw a card from our library on our upkeep. Elixir of Immortality reminds us that hydration is important! In case of emergency, Laboratory Maniac is also on standby.

There are also a few cards, such as Duelist's Heritage, Armadillo Cloak, and Biomass Mutation which are currently included to allow Pheldagriff to kill with commander damage, or for our wizards to swarm someone and unexpectedly get massive. I'm not sure if I'll keep these more traditional, aggressive strategies in the deck...so they are probably the first cards on the chopping block as I find more cards that fit the festive group-love theme.
