Hatebears are traditionally 2/2s for 2 with some sort of oppressive effect. Knowing the commonality between many of these creatures, Wild Pair lets us 2-for-1 each hatebear we play. Each creature in this deck (with the exception of Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa) has combined power and toughness equal to 4.

Need a removal spell? Cast any 2/2 or 1/3 and grab Ravenous Chupacabra or Palace Jailer. Need graveyard hate? Grab Scavenging Ooze. General stax pieces? Drannith Magistrate and Collector Ouphe are a couple of my favorites. Most features you could need in a deck like this are attached to at least one bear, which makes this deck a veritable toolbox of pieces that will aid you in the right moments.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you're going to edit this deck, do not put in a Containment Priest. Trust me.

Aside from combat damage, this deck does have a rather unwieldy (but fully tutorable) infinite combo: Saffi Eriksdotter with Karmic Guide and Cartel Aristocrat creates infinite enters-the-battlefield triggers, and Corpse Knight turns that into a game win.
