Behold, the heroic might of Akros's royalty! They command a fierce legion of soldiers, blazing a path through the enemy. The focus of the deck is on triggering Anax and Cymede's heroic ability, inspiring incredible strength in their army.

The build is simple, but usually effective. I would not say by any means that this is a competitive deck, but it is probably my best. I've also been told my many that this is a great execution of an unexpected general.

Favorite tricks include: casting and bouncing Flickering Ward for multiple heroic triggers in one turn; using Fall of the Hammer as both a heroic trigger and a removal spell; and the generous wording of Isochron Scepter in allowing me to cast a chosen instant with "Draw a card" while also getting a heroic trigger!

Also, I am aware that, despite the name, Akroan Phalanx is not in the deck.
