This is my Nin, the Pain Artist EDH deck. It's a control/combo deck and it's my first serious edh deck that slowly evolved from being a very silly Melek, Izzet Paragon spellslinger deck that didn't do anything to the deck it is today. It is probably the most powerful deck I have looking to card quality alone.

The deck is at heart a control deck that aims at controlling the game through a combination of countermagic and boardwipes as well as a healthy amount of politicking. Over the course of the game your aim is to slowly sculpt a hand before winning with the combo of Reiterate + Turnabout and then casting Comet Storm on whatever number you deem lethal enough.

In this deck, I run a lot of counterspells and I also run cards like Swan Song and Red Elemental Blast. This is because the meta I play in is dominated largely by blue decks and combo decks. Likewise this means that I need less anti-creature cards like wraths and spot removal because there are so few creatures around.

This is also the deck I have that most closely resembles a traditional "goodstuff" edh deck, including cards like Consecrated Sphinx, Clever Impersonator and Tamiyo, the Moon Sage based on the powerlevel and quality of the card alone.
