Hello! And welcome to my Mirri, Weatherlight Duelist equipment voltron deck! I know, such a brave new strategy for this commander. I know, but the main problem I've always had with voltron decks is that, as soon as your commander gets of sufficient size it's suddenly "everybody pile on that guy!". And thus, having Mirri tapped prevents the pile-up.

Other than a few Mirri-Specific cards this is a pretty standard equipment deck, so let's talk about what makes it different:

• The main thing that you don't want to do with Mirri is give her vigilance. If she doesn't tap everyone will try to get in with as many creatures as possible. That's where Masako the Humorless comes in, he allows Mirri to block while still being tapped.
• If you can't get Mirri out there you can always throw out Dueling Grounds or Silent Arbiter to make sure you can't be attacked.
• There are also ways to tap creatures without attacking, the main ways being Skysovereign, Consul Flagship and Glare of Subdual .
• Or, just give Mirri haste with Lightning Greaves , Swiftfoot Boots , or Obsidian Battle-Axe .

If Mirri is busy attacking you're going to need some blockers. This is where you can spice to taste. My flavors include Jareth, Leonine Titan , Seraph of the Sword , and Seht's Tiger . Other people might like things like Hundred-Handed One or Eight-and-a-Half-Tails , but I don't have those. You can also use token generators like Jedit Ojanen of Efrava or Kemba, Kha Regent .

This deck really can't win without Mirri, so keeping her alive is important. Giving her deathtouch basically means, with her native first strike, that she can take anything in combat. Bow of Nylea , Quietus Spike , and Basilisk Collar are the main ways to do this. The bow is also great for putting +1/+1 counters on Mirri. Just watch out for indestructible blockers!

Throw in some ramp, some card draw, and a few equipment tutors, and you've got yourself a deck. One of the great things here is that you don't care how many creatures your opponents have, so you don't have to worry too much about packing sweepers, I think there are only two in the deck. That works out for me, but if you feel like you would need more I would suggest more ways of making Mirri indestructible like Shielded by Faith , Shield of the Oversoul , or Shield of Kaldra .

I'm always looking to improve the deck, but am a budget player at heart, so all suggestions will be taken into consideration, but only budget cards may make the cut. Thanks in advance!
