This Temur deck is a Dragon tribal build focused on utilizing and exploiting Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm’s token-generating ability. This vision is achieved through inundating the 99 with mana ramp spells, select mana rocks, various mana accelerators and Treasure-token-producing effects. The investment in mana resources, paired with numerous card-drawing spells and effects, pay multiple dividends. Miirym can enter play as quickly as possible in the early game, allowing for explosive turns thereafter by getting other powerful Dragons onto the battlefield and triggering Miirym’s token-generating ability. Although there are cheat-into-play effects included in the deck, Dragons are mana intensive, and an over-investment in mana resources will help to hedge their mana values. As another benefit, although the 99 offers some protection, a commitment to abundant mana sources allows for Miirym to be recast multiple times if needed during the mid-to-late game. Through back-breaking synergies among Miirym and the various Dragons in the 99, victory can be achieved in a variety of ways, all by out-pacing and out-resourcing opponents.
