Freyalise: Queen of Mana Dorks

Commander / EDH Elves Mono-Green

I have always been enamored with elves. As a preteen, I disliked The Two Towers and The Return of the King, because the Frodo and Sam story had a distinct lack of Legolas. My first D&D character was an elven fighter/wizard. My earliest Magic deck involved using Llanowar Elves and Fyndhorn Elves to get around my punishing the table with Ankh of Mishra. I really like elves--mana-producing elves, in particular. I'm a fairly impatient person, and ramping is something I try to get all of my decks to do.

When I got into EDH, I tried my hand at elf tribal with Omnath, Locus of Mana at the helm. I had an Ezuri, Renegade Leader elfball deck I was running in modern, so I didn't want to run him, despite him being a much better alternative. Then Commander 2014 came out and I got the perfect leader for my deck.

Freyalise aims to win by being a jerk. We can go infinite in a number of ways, which only make Ezuri even better. We can also cripple our opponents who didn't think to play manadorks or manarocks by taking all of their lands via Gilt-Leaf Archdruid or locking the table up with the salty Winter Orb.
