The gods gave us no wings to fly, but they gave us an even greater gift: enchantments -- Enchantment Spirit of Daxos number 42.

Strategy (the simple version)

1. Drop Daxos the Returned
2. Protect him and yourself with enchantents while taxing the table and racking up experience counters
3. Conjure spirits and beat down the table. Or sac them for various goodies.

The more enchantments you play, the better your army gets, right? So let us play a lot of enchantments! We have some really good choices, so it is (sort of) viable to drop EDH Orzhov stables like Vindicate, Mortify, Utter End, Unmake, Necrotic Sliver, and just go all in! This is what this deck is about. Lots of enchantments and lots of spirits!

Let's exploit that some of the enchantments can be played agin and a agin and agin... (e.g., Cage of Hands , Flickering Ward , Gossamer Chains, Mourning , and Spirit Loop . There are more, but these are the ones I found room for.

Highlights and synergies

• Daxos the Returned and Constellation (e.g., Doomwake Giant or Skybind): Summoning spirits got so much more fun. Can be used for removing attackers, board whipes, etc.
• Expedition Map + Serra's Sanctum and 48 enchantments: lots of white mana
• Cabal Coffers + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth + Expedition Map: lots of black mana (though we need to draw one of the lands first)
• Vesuva can copy any of the above (maybe I should add Thespian's Stage as well?)
• Academy Rector and 48% of the deck (notably Debtors' Knell, Martyr's Bond, or True Conviction)
• Dictate of Erebos + Vampiric Rites and enchanted spirits: Drain 1 life, Draw 1 card, have opponents sack one creature
• Flash enchantments instead of fancy instants: Cho-Manno's Blessing , Dictate of Erebos, Stasis Snare. And since that is not really a lot, I've chosen to spend a slot on Vedalken Orrery.
• The anthem set for my flock of enchantment spirits helps out the play in various ways: +1/+1 counters, lifelink, double strike, fear, and vigilance
• Greater Auramancy : Do not target my enchantments
• ... and if you do you will be taxed by Martyr's Bond, Karmic Justice and possibly Dictate of Erebos
• Blind Obedience and Kismeth will delay my opponets.
• 5 Good tutors that can bring forth most of my deck
• More control than I like to admit (e.g., Nevermore for troublesome commanders or... say Cyclonic Rift)
• Good draw suite
• Good protection suite for me and Daxos the Returned. Daxos' favorite is Darksteel Plate and mine is Sphere of Safety.
• Luminarch Ascension, Myth Realized, and Sigil of the Empty Throne in case I get in a situation where I loose Daxos the Returned and can't get her back with my wide arsenal of exile and protection effects.

Notable omissions

• Orzhov staples that are not enchantments

Known weaknesses

• No flying (how can the spirits not be flying?)
• Nothing that grants flying to my creatures or removes flying from opponents creatures.
