Consecrated by Blood

Enchantment — Aura

Enchant creature

Enchanted creature gets +2/+2 and has flying and "Sacrifice two other creatures: Regenerate this creature." (The next time this creature would be destroyed this turn, it isn't. Instead, tap it, remove all damage from it, and remove it from combat.)

dlombart - Sadly, I haven't had as much time recently to play as much as I'd like, so the deck has only seen a game or two but it has seen LOTS of solitaire/goldfishing/playtesting. The deck ran extremely well (even in a loss) in the last game it actually saw which is detailed in the Games Played tab in the description. It should be mentioned, however, that my "meta" just consists of the decks I have on here that my brothers and I pit against each other. I think my decks are relatively light on removal when compared most other commander decks these days, so protection for Sengir is probably priority number one when building your own deck. Lightning Greaves and Swiftfoot Boots are the most obvious choices. Blessing of Leeches, Consecrated by Blood, Skeletal Grimace, Soul Channeling and Molting Snakeskin are some more auras similar to Dark Privilege that might be worth checking out.

Fecundity is essential.Song of Freyalise- ramp. Real usful if you want to run Genesis Wave, Chord of Calling or other big 'assemble the combo and win before the politics gets me' cards.

Alternatively, for fun commander, Dreampod Druid, Bramble Elemental and aristocrat enchantments like Consecrated by Blood, Dark Privilege, Crown of Suspicion & Fallen Ideal.

You also need to tweak that manabase of yours - for some budget options you can add Smoldering Marshes and Foreboding Ruins like 1-2 of each instead of basic lands

For creatures you can probably take 1-2 Rakdos, Lord of Riots and 1-2 Rakdos Shred-Freak to make room for either Goblin Deathraiders, Jund Hackblade or Hellspark Elemental

Also how about 1-2 delve cards like Gurmag Angler or Murderous Cut? During almost every game you'll have more than enough cards to cast it for 1-2 mana just don't exile your Demigods and you're good to go :)

Sideboard... remove the following:

  • Ancient Grudge - Rakdos Charm has other modes to use and you don't have green mana for flashback anyway
  • Rakdos Keyrune looks good on paper but actually will make you turn behind opponents and when becomes a creature is even more vulnerable for removal
  • Consecrated by Blood - same thing as with Keyrune, you just have better options for 4 mana

Hope, this helps and keep causing mayhem for the Cult of Rakdos! :D

Zombies don't fly, sadly. Well, instead of Malakir Familiar you could use Consecrated by Blood to make them. Lol

I like the deck, and I really like the concept! I don't know if this is supposed to be budget, but I'm going to suggest as if it isn't, minus big money cards ($10+). (Long post incoming!)

I would recommend cutting Smelt for Rakdos Charm. Destroying one artifact is usually not going to swing a game, and while the charm is more expensive, it has the effect you want on it, along with the flexibility of exiling a graveyard (shutting down reanimator) and punishing having tons of creatures, which really hurts token decks.

Uncaged Fury, Mark of the Vampire, Untamed Hunger, and Consecrated by Blood are better replaced by Vampire Nocturnus, Captivating Vampire, Guul Draz Overseer, and Obelisk of Urd. They're more reliable, and you lose less card advantage. Not to mention three of them are more vampires!

Assuming Boiling Earth is meant to kill things, you may want Biting Rain or Consume the Meek, as it they kill a lot more small creatures. Yes, they may hit your creatures, but killing more is usually worth it.

Bloodmad Vampire and Incorrigible Youths are better as Big Game Hunter and Grave Scrabbler. I know they're not vampires, but they give you more value for paying their madness cost.

Falkenrath Marauders, Vampire Nighthawk, and Vampire Outcasts are cool, but they're a bit underpowered. I recommend Malakir Bloodwitch, Feast of Blood, and Sangromancer.

I would also pull Blighted Gorge and Looming Spires in favor of Keldon Megaliths and Blighted Fen. The effects they provide are a bit better.

Seeing as you plan to discard quite a bit, Demonfire and Blood Scrivener will be giving you some value. I'd play them over Tamiyo's Journal and Expedite.

As a sidenote, Elusive Tormentor  Flip is illegal in this deck, as it's flip side is blue. I know TappedOut says it's legal, but that is incorrect. To replace it, I suggest Bloodline Keeper  Flip. Same mana cost, but much more powerful.

I hope all of that helps! I'm no expert deckbuilder, but I think most of this will make the deck better.

Small warning: Ojutai is not as hexproof here as you might think. Your opponent has no other relevant targets for removal. If there's any in their deck, they'll have it when the dragon taps. Play Always Watching (also helps beat Languish), Gleam of Authority, Iona's Blessing, Haunted Cloak (good in general), or True-Faith Censer, or just relegate him to the sideboard and bring him in after your opponent boards out removal. On the other hand, if you (attempt to) voltron a Topplegeist or a Deathcap Cultivator, they may keep their removal in their main deck, which will lead to all sorts of weird mind games.

If you cut Ojutai and the deck's namesake Invocation of Saint Traft, you could play Abzan, giving you access to that Elusive Tormentor  Flip you want to play with. This would also let you play Heir of Falkenrath  Flip, an aggressive creature that also serves to provide more of an excuse to play the awesome Neglected Heirloom  Flip. Black/White also gives you a suite of removal (not that White alone was bad). Black's auras are actually not all that bad (relatively speaking). Consecrated by Blood would be good on Conifer Strider, and Infernal Scarring would be good on Topplegeist. And, gosh darnit, you could play Duress and Thought-Knot Seer (eight pain lands) to clear the way for you to suit a creature up.

Versus aggro, you have access to Pacifism, Silkwrap, Celestial Flare, Gideon's Reproach, Immolating Glare, Declaration in Stone, and Stasis Snare. You can crush the matchup post-board if you really want to.

Black would add Dead Weight, Ultimate Price, Murderous Compulsion, Ruinous Path, Anguished Unmaking, Flaying Tendrils, and Languish to the mix.

Also, if delirium is easy to achieve, consider playing more threats with the mechanic. Inexorable Blob and Soul Swallower can take over games. God forbid you put a Gryff's Boon on one of them. (Soul Swallower is kind of my pet card for the set, so I'm biased.)

I'm sure poor old Graceblade Artisan feels left out. Well, it's his fault for being so easy to kill!

Dictate is too expensive. Butcher of Malakir requires an infinite sac outlet, Mikaeus, an infinite sacrifice guy, and his own prodigious mana cost, for a boardwipe (or you can wing it and just force everyone to sac 2 or 4 creatures). Kheru Bloodsucker requires you to pay mana per sacrifice, and few of the sac outlets are high toughness vampires.

Lightning Coils is a good idea, but requires 3 other cards.

Zulaport Cutthroat has been mentioned and discarded. It is a human and requires 3 other cards.

Consecrated by Blood requires two infinite sac outlets. Carnage Altar is a good idea, though Vampiric Rites is superior. Ashnods is too expensive. Blood Funnel is very very risky. Plunge into Darkness requires you to have a massive swarm of creatures for sacrifice. Sadistic Hypnotist is a good idea, but it is too expensive for a 20$ budget :(. Undercity Informer is interesting, while as an infinite sac outlet he is risky, his mill power is also quite potent. He is a human though

Serrated Biskelion doesn't have haste.
