Update 6: D&D, Adventures in the Forgotten Realms

Add Circle of Dreams Druid, remove Paradise Druid. Another Elf that can go infinite with Staff of Domination? Yes please.

Add Torment of Hailfire, remove Overwhelming Stampede. Speaking of all that mana this deck produces, I might as well turn it lethal. I have elves who can do the same effect as Overwhelming Stampede, so I'm not concerned about cutting it.

Add Concordant Crossroads, remove Ochran Assassin. This deck can have explosive turns, flooding the board with Elves - it needs haste so they can attack immediately. Meanwhile, I liked what Ochran Assassin offered but cuts are tough and I need to make room for Concordant Crossroads. Obviously.

Add Arcane Lighthouse, remove Detection Tower. Slight upgrade.

Add Swamp, remove Blooming Marsh. Moving away from using the fast lands as they come into play tapped most of the time.

I have found an innate desire to remove Rest in Peace with more than just Austere Command, thus I have removed Path to Exilefoil for Generous Gift.

Strixhaven and Commander Legends, again

Add Shadrix Silverquill, remove Spidersilk Armor. Shadrix is pretty fantastic: A flying, double strike dragon who hits for 10, can draw me a card on combat and do other political trickery. Meanwhile, I'm super bored of Spidersilk Armor - always disappointed to have it in hand, never seems all that useful.

Add Colfenor, the Last Yew, remove Kami of Old Stone. I dismissed Colfenor on my first pass at Commander Legends but he's interesting and should synergize well here. Kami's pretty vanilla - gotta make room for cooler, new things.

Add Abzan Beastmaster, remove God-Pharaoh's Faithful. Speaking of vanilla, out with the Faithful and in with the Beastmaster who can draw me cards.

Add Access Tunnel, remove Swamp. Just another way to get my damage through.

The bandit lord may take more setup before it starts dealing damage, but it's a goblin, and it doesn't require big mana to deal big damage.

Add Commander's Insight, remove Blue Sun's Zenith. Seems like a slight upgrade, since shuffling Blue Sun's Z into my library wasn't something I cared that much about.

Add Ignoble Hierarch, remove Awakening Zone. Ignoble Hierarch offers solid early ramp coupled with Exalted to help pump Prossh a little. Meanwhile I've been disappointed with how slow Awakening Zone is.

Add Pest Infestation, remove Artifact Mutation. Excited to try this out, seems more flexible as removal or just token generation.

Add Baleful Mastery, remove Dreadbore. Instant-speed and it exiles - seems better.

Add Plumb the Forbidden, remove Blood Mist. Need more card advantage. I have many damage-doubling effects but double strike doesn't stack so I might as well remove one of those and I'd prefer to keep the more surprising options, like Embercleave.

Add Phyrexian Tower, remove Grim Backwoods. Swapping for a much better sac outlet and potential source of ramp. Meanwhile I'm not sure if I've ever used Grim Backwoods' expensive ability.

Add Pir's Whim, remove Spawning Bed. Looking for more ramp and a bit more interaction.

Add Venser, Shaper Savant, remove Mystic Snake. The Time Spiral reprint sure dropped the price on this! I like Venser more because he can interrupt uncounterable spells and is slightly easier on colour requirements.

Add Amphin Mutineer, remove Progenitor Mimic. I kind of slept on the Mutineer but it's a sweet little flickerable removal option. Meanwhile Progenitor Mimic continues to be expensive to cast and an immediate target for removal.

Add Risen Reef, remove Coiling Oracle. Risen Reef's trigger also looking for other elementals to ETB is a big big win when I can make copies and copies of it. I'd actually prefer to keep both of these cards in the deck, but couldn't think of anything else to cut.

Add Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth, remove Snow-Covered Forest. Yes please, let's make all these colourless utility lands produce .

Add Natural Order, remove Scroll Rack. Natural Order is amazing and while Scroll Rack is great for card selection, it wasn't really the card advantage I was after. Still feels bad cutting Scroll Rack. Am I making a huge mistake?

Working on my fine tuning. Finally got myself a copy of Yawgmoth's Will to add to the deck so naturally that went right in. Added some signets to increase my artifact numbers and smooth out my curve.

Added some more cards since stuff showed up in the mail. This deck had a very successful first game, a 5 person free for all where it was targeted down and made a huge comeback, ultimately winning.

Added some new stuff, looking to shift the deck more towards populate/creature tokens, as well as having lots of avenues for using up spare mana, such as X-drops and creatures that spend mana (steel hellkite, scavenging ooze, and so on)

Played a game, didn't do great, but was still missing some cards. Updated the list now with the current build. We'll see. Deck doesn't have a wincon, which is fine.

Update 18: Modern Horizons 2

Add Sword of Hearth and Home, remove Quietus Spike. What a fantastic new sword!! The Spike is fun but I'm gonna kill people with commander damage most of the time and I have cheaper equipment for deathtouch.

Add Nettlecyst, remove Batterskull. Make Traxos swol again! I love Batterskull but it's so expensive to cast and equip. For the same mana as I would spend just casting Batterskull, I can cast and equip Nettlecyst. And it has the potential to make Traxos much larger. Also, swapping one living weapon for another.

Add Arena of the Ancients, remove Armory Automaton. My commander's limitation is everyone's commander's limitation. The Automaton was cool in theory, but he's such a weenie little guy, otherwise.

Add Urza's Saga, remove Urza's Mine. New enchantment-land tutors up all kinds of useful things like Basilisk Collar, Infiltration Lens, Shadowspear, Commander's Plate, Manifold Key and Voltaic Key. Taking out the old Urza lands because I'm never going to magically assemble them in EDH when playing a colourless deck without tutors.

Add 2x Wastes, remove Urza's Power Plant and Urza's Tower. See above about the old Urza lands. Increasing basic lands is more important, especially with that new sword.
