Kami of Old Stone

Creature — Spirit

rdean14 on Card creation challenge

seshiro_of_the_orochi, oh wow, I forgot about that card, huh, yeah I mean... Hedron's Archive is almost playable, so I think my card actual would be, but yeah, less original than I thought.

As mentioned on Curtain of Light, Guardian of Solitude, Kami of False Hope, Kami of Old Stone, Lifespinner, Moonwing Moth, and Orb of Dreams:

Snow-Fur, Kitsune Poet

Legendary Creature - Fox Bard

Snow-Fur, Kitsune Poet costs less to cast for each card exiled from your graveyard this turn.

Vigilance, Protection from creatures without summoning sickness

, , Shuffle a card you own in exile into your library: Return target creature or enchantment from your graveyard to the battlefield. Activate this ability only as a sorcery.

3/8

I think this would be a really fun card in commander, and not really sure how it'd work, I mean Elspeth, Sun's Nemesis would be excellent in this deck, as would suspend cards and Nearheath Chaplain and Heron-Blessed Geist, as well as the disturb creatures, but like... idk...

Also, yes, she can only be blocked by creatures which entered in the last turn cycle without haste. That's the only difference between her protection and Teysa, Envoy of Ghosts

Hi there! I playtested this deck just for fun with my partner and wanted to leave some feedback :D I only played with it twice, and I won both matches because my partner got pretty bad draws.

This deck is a beast! I think you have a good amount of sweeping removal and ramp, and the mana costs are reasonable. I was able to deal a lot of damage pretty quickly, and I appreciate the toolbox-like effects of many of the creatures. The lifegain seemed to perfectly balance out the life loss from your damage inflicting lands and card draw spells. I had a lot of fun playing it!

That being said, I think it might do you some good to include more targeted removal and card draw. I get a lot of usage from Beast Whisperer in my Trostani, Selesnya's Voice deck. I would suggest something like that; card draw engines are definitely useful. I think that a few of the creatures such as Kami of Old Stone and Looming Altisaur could be replaced with creatures that have more to offer, because although they are efficient for what they do, I wish they had trample or vigilance or something. I also think including a couple tutors might be really helpful, such as Eladamri's Call, Congregation at Dawn, or even just Diabolic Tutor.

Not sure how much you are willing to shell out for the deck, but creatures like Ohran Frostfang might be good. If you play multiplayer and like elements of group hug, Heartwood Storyteller draws tons of cards. Abzan Charm is useful (I am a slut for cards that give me multiple options).

TL;DR, great deck, I enjoyed playing it and I think you could upgrade it easily with just a touch more card draw and elevated creatures.

OK, so far I have my Commander. Hokori, Dust Drinker

From there I want spells likeGhostly Prison Oblivion Ring Worship Words of Worship Ivory Mask

And maybe a bunch of walls like Steel Wall and Kami of Old Stone etc.

I am not 100% on the rules but I think I can do artifacts. So if I can Defense Grid might be a good idea too.

With that in mind, I am guessing you guys see what I am going for. Lots of Defensive cards, but I am not sure what to use as my late or end game wins. Maybe the white decree that puts angel tokens into play or some other giant angel creatures or something like that. Akroma maybe? An important thing is having tons of cards that produce mana so untapping my land won't be a problem. Suggestions on what I can use for a deck like this? It will be my first deck, and now that I know what theme I want, it is just a matter of knowing what to fill it with.

Solid reasoning, in that case I might suggest Oketra the True and Kami of Old Stone

Looming Altisaur is strictly derpier than Kami of Old Stone

Can't believe I missed Mentor of the Meek for card draw in my Doran deck. Apparently I haven't updated my deck for a while now. My deck focuses on punishing creatures based on their power. But I have a few ideas to run by you, use them as you wish:

Abzan Beastmaster: card draw

Eidolon of Rhetoric: can neuter some decks and has a nice body to boot.

Guiltfeeder: Possible evasion and can hit for 4 with Doran out. Added damage is better the longer the game goes on.

Kami of Old Stone: I don't care for vanilla critters but this one was too good to pass up

Marble Titan: another Meekstone v2.0

Necroskitter: steals opponent's critters and plays nicely with Obelisk Spider and his infect friends Priests of Norn and Tangle Angler.

Priests of Norn/Tangle Angler: See above, Also can be finishers with cards like Tower Defense ect.

Raving Dead: testing this out. Can be brutal with cards like Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa/Behind the Scenes or after a wrath effect that targets higher powered critters. It's a Quietus Spike with legs.

Sun Titan: recursion

Tree of Redemption: huge with Assault Formation or a last ditch life saver.

Noetic Scales: currently testing but probably the first thing to be cut.

Crackdown, Retribution of the Meek, Wave of Reckoning: all higher power critter punishing cards

My deck if you want more ideas:

Doran's Spring: 'Tis the Season of Big Butts

Commander / EDH Flagellum
