Arcades wants us to play Defenders, draw cards and then attack with our Walls, so this deck is packed with Defenders to do just that.

Most Defenders are low-costed, allowing us to get them out quickly, triggering Arcades' card draw ability and drawing into more to fill our board.

Board sweepers focus on removing high-power creatures, leaving my low-power creatures unharmed.

Highlights

• A bunch of low power, high toughness Defenders I can get out quickly, triggering Arcades' card draw ability.
• Board sweepers that remove high-power creatures, leaving my low-power creatures unharmed.
• Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive, Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa and Venser, the Sojourner to keep the team unblockable.
• Assault Formation and High Alert to provide backup if Arcades gets stolen or prohibitively expensive to recast.
• Axebane Guardian, High Alert and 4 other Defenders gives infinite mana.
• Flicker effects like Eerie Interlude and Venser, the Sojourner help protect the team against wrath effects and let me double up on Arcades' ETB trigger.
• Heroic Intervention, Clever Concealment and Akroma's Will to protect Arcades and the team.
• Meekstone to punish opponents' creatures with no impact to my low-power creatures.
