Massive amounts of lifegain, then exploitation of that lifegain for a combo win. You can stab it with your steely knives, but you just can't kill the beast.

Exile as primary removal. The scene I play in loves indestructibility and graveyard play, so I need to shut that down. You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.

Life Sources

I won't be listing all possible sources of life gain, since almost every permanent in the deck is based around either increasing or using the life gained. These are the pivotal cards in the strategy, however.
- Life from creature movement; While not directly synergizing with the deck, as I have no destroy effects here, these cards do well in a multiplayer environment, as low-threat but annoying cards that might soak up some removal. Blood Artist , Falkenrath Noble , Pontiff of Blight , Sangromancer , Soul Warden , Soul's Attendant , Souls of the Faultless , Suture Priest . The odd one out there is the Goldenglow Moth. There's a fair amount of creature protection in this deck, mainly intended to keep the commander alive despite his threat profile. As a side effect of it, I can devote some resources to keeping other creatures, like the Palisade Giant and Moth alive, which should help protect everything else.
