Selvala's Wild Revenge (Mono Green Ramp)

Commander / EDH Midrange Mono-Green Ramp

ZombieSam

Ever since I was introduced to the EDH format I have always wanted to make a mono green commander. This deck is basically my pride and joy. I do realize the more popular option for Mono Green is elves but that is not my style. Now I will try to explain some of my card selections. All comments are welcome I am always open to card suggestions

When this deck was first created the commander I chose was Azusa, Lost but Seeking however, besides the acceleration early game she did nothing after the first couple turns. However when Selvala, Heart of the Wilds was released I was excited since it can provide acceleration in the early game, draw cards in the late game or even just tap for 2 mana if I have an empty board.
Try to ramp using Selvala and other ramp spells to try to get enough mana to play some of my win-condition cards such as Craterhoof Behemoth and Blightsteel Colossus. If I am having trouble drawing the win condition cards I can tutor a win condition with cards like Tooth and Nail Another neat win condition this deck has is Ezuri's Predation + Kamahl, Fist of Krosa . Another win condition this deck has is Selvala, Heart of the Wilds + Staff of Domination if I have a creature with 5 power or more to make infinite mana, infinite card draw.
Since Selvala is my commander I the goal is to power out the largest creatures so I need to get a lot of mana, really fast.

Nissa, Vastwood Seer   she fetches up a forest to my hand also she can provide some ramp/draw in the late game or making a 4/4 if I am behind on board.

Caged Sun basically gives me double mana and boosts most of team which is a nice touch

Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger doubles my mana, essentially gives my opponents halved mana seems pretty good

Myriad Landscape trade in this land and 2 mana for 2 forest basically helps me bridge from the early to the mid game

Courser of Kruphix and Oracle of Mul Daya basically allows me to play lands off the top of the deck instead of my hand. While Oracle does allow me to play the extra land a turn, the extra life from Courser is not terrible either.

Nature's Lore, Skyshroud Claim, and Hour of Promise just good ramp spells and grabbing any lands with Hour is nice.

Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx probly one of my favorite cards in the deck since it generally nets me a great deal of mana to help power out some of the win conditions of the deck.

Since this deck is Mono Green card draw is a little hard to come by but I some cards to help with that

Selvala, Heart of the Wilds if everything is going to plan I should be netting cards from it

Abundance helps me either get lands or helps by letting me avoid land pockets

Regal Force even thou he works better it token based decks he still easily helps me net 3-4 cards with a good body

Tireless Tracker one of the best editions to this deck I made since I should be ramping a good amount I should be creating lots of tokens to net several cards and make him grow into a huge threat himself

Zendikar Resurgent either this card helps me reach the top of mana curve or helps me draw some extra cards not a whole lot else to say.

Sensei's Divining Top stack how I draw cards or even let me draw a card in a pitch. There is a reason that a majority of commander decks play the top

Harmonize simple effective draw spell for a color that normally doesn't get it

Rishkar's Expertise even thou I have yet to cast this card yet I feel like it will be a great edition since it draw me a crazy amount of cards and play something for free if I have it

Garruk, Primal Hunter either makes creatures that I can block with or I just draw between 3-5 cards when I -3 him which is solid for green

Mind's Eye in huge multiplayer games this simple artifact can draw more cards than it has any more right to since there will be turns where I don't do that much.

Horn of Greed not a huge fan of this card since it is a global effect however it still is nice to draw a card just for playing a land may consider getting rid of it in the future.

Sylvan Library basically a free Sensei's Top activation that could allow me to draw 3 cards for 8 life or I can stack my draws for a couple turns or even just power thru some bad draws for 8 life just to get them out of the way.

Greater Good sac creatures to draw a few cards while having to discard 3 cards. Another benefit this card has is that I can save my creatures from exile effects such as Path to Exile so I can get them back later

Acidic Slime almost always a 2 for 1 this is a card I play in most of my green edh decks

Duplicant removes the most problematic creature on the board while gaining their power and toughness

Surrak, the Hunt Caller plays better than he looks a sweet play after playing my commander or even give haste to one my creatures.

Woodfall Primus good body and removes problem permanents with an ETB.

Silklash Spider blocks a lot of things and can remove flyers which tends to be a weakness in green but this little spider helps with that alot

Updates Add

I cut some the weaker lands in this deck and acquired better ones.

Ancient Tomb > Myriad Landscape : the ramp from the tomb is a really nice addition to the deck while the landscape is still a nice card, the entering tapped clause and paying more mana to get lands was a bit too much

Command Beacon > Thespian's Stage : just in cause the commander dies too many times I can cast it for a much cheaper cost. And the stage can provide some nice interactions it didn't provide enough to justify a spot in the deck
