Maybeboard

Growing tired of Kaladesh and its robots and doodads, as well as developing a sad allergy to aether, Kambal decides it's time to find another job. Being his own boss, he transfers himself to another place where he knows his prowess in taxation will be appreciated, namely the Orzhov Syndicate. Wishing to one day sit on top, he will make sure to impress Obzedat, Ghost Council, especially while they're present. Our job will be to make sure he gets a promotion.

This is just your average W/B good stuff with Kambal, Consul of Allocation at the helm. The deck tries to play big value cards while keeping itself in the game with lots of removal and different ways to gain life, as well as some cards that deters or otherwise prevent attackers.

Some combos:

Massacre Wurm + Sudden Spoiling: This is a one sided board wipe that gets through pesky Indestructible + Hexproof combinations. The Wurm's static ability can in some cases outright murder a player, which is fun. Split Second helps protect the combo against counterspells and prevents opponents from responding to it. The key thing to remember is that Sudden Spoiling is an Instant. This allows you to cast Spoiling in response to your own Wurm's etb effect. The reason you cast the Wurm first is that unlike Sudden Spoiling, the Wurm is susceptible to getting countered. So make sure your Wurm gets in, then cast Spoiling. Got it?

Vizkopa Guildmage + Invincible Hymn: It should be noted that the Guildmage combos with most of our lifegain spells. That being said, the sheer explosive lifegain from Hymn is in many cases enough to win you the game on the spot, assuming your opponents can't respond. The thing about cards that set your life total to a specific value, is that you actually gain or lose life equal to the difference between your current life total and the life total an effect would set it to. As an example; if you have 30 life and 70 cards in your library when casting Hymn, you gain 40 life. Guildmage then makes your opponents lose 40 life each! Bonus: You can activate Vizkopa Guildmage's second ability multiple times to multiply your opponents' life loss. If you activated it twice in our example above, each opponent would lose 80 life instead of 40!

Crypt Ghast + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth: Duh!

Felidar Sovereign + The commander format itself: Because you begin the game with 40 life, there are times where you can get this out early due to things like Sol Ring + Crypt Ghast. If your opponents don't have an answer to the kitty right away, you just win the game outright. Hilarious!

Deathbringer Liege + Cards that are both white and black: Liege gives your creatures that are both white and black +2/+2, and every time you cast a spell that's both white and black, you get to destroy any creature by combining his abilities!

Sun Titan + Aura of Silence: Not strictly a combo per se, but Aura of Silence is a good target in cases where you don't have anything useful to reanimate. If you trigger Sun Titan's effect, you can sacrifice Aura in response, destroy an Enchantment or Artifact, and bring it right back with the Titan.
