Maybeboard

Been winning FNM pretty regularly with this, only losing to misplays, and archenemy style beatdowns. Definitely vulnerable to aggro esp. fliers.

I thoroughly enjoy this deck, because, even as I bring it's power level up, it still retains that random izzet fun of, "what card will Melek reveal?"

Ultimately though, it plays like a combo deck, borrowing Storm tech like High Tide, Gush, Frantic Search Seething Song etc. As it only plays one Storm card (Empty the Warrens) the real goal is to dig through the library until Purphoros, God of the Forge or Impact Tremors shows up.

Countermagic should only be played to protect this pretty vulnerable board. No one will be very confused when they see what is happening, and trying to play any other kind of control role will waste your important defense.

Find Purphoros, God of the Forge with Melek, Izzet Paragon on the field, then put some token into play and cast Notorious Throng off the top of the library. In a multiplayer game this means 40+ damage and isn't as tricky as it sounds to set up. Getting stopped anywhere along the way still leaves you in pretty good position usually

Mogg Infestation plays similarly

The rest is pretty self explanatory

So, What do you think? Any thoughts about things I'm leaving out? Should pieces of my maybeboard come in?
Thanks.

Cards I will add if I can trade for them: Sensei's Divining Top, Time Spiral.
