Originally this deck started when I considered the combo of Decree of Silence + Solemnity , which is infinite auto-counters. Add on staples like Copy Enchantment + Greater Auramancy for perfect Shroud, or more combos like Force Bubble + Solemnity for immunity to damage or Decree of Silence + Starfield of Nyx for (mostly) infinite counters, and you have a decent amount of protection to get the main combo back.

Outside the board-locking combos, though, your normal goal is to play lifeguard and prevent anyone from running around the pool. Drop spot-removal on big threats and exile them to the kiddy pool, play AoE hindrances to prevent people from comboing out in the same turn (Eidolon of Rhetoric), drawing a billion cards (Spirit of the Labyrinth), or spamming Hasted Critters (Blind Obedience or Authority of the Consuls), or just lock down combat entirely with a Moat or Mystic Barrier. You also stop Voltron and and Artifact Decks dead cold with Stony Silence. And for added fun, toss out Perplexing Chimera and watch everyone decide they've better things to do than cast spells.

Normally though pulling off the big lockdown isn't how you win. Angelspam via Sigil of the Empty Throne or Luminarch Ascension, or dropping Opalescence or Starfield of Nyx and possibly Archetype of Imagination and smashing people in the face. Just beating people in the face with Ephara is also viable, doubly so with Heliod, God of the Sun or Brave the Sands out. Since you don't run manarocks to get maximum benefits from locking out Artifacts, you want to get a hold of Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx or Serra's Sanctum as soon as possible.

The big threats are any deck packing Black and White, as they'll usually try to tutor out Merciless Eviction when they realize you're slowly taking over the game. Monogreen is just behind them, with all their Enchantment Destruction, and any other deck with White will usually pack a Return to Dust.
