Mark of Sakiko

Enchantment — Aura

Enchant creature

Enchanted creature has "Whenever this creature deals combat damage to a player, add that much (Green) to your mana pool. This mana doesn't cause mana burn (which no longer exists). Until end of turn, this mana doesn't empty from your mana pool as phases end."

Umbra Mystic, Greater Auramancy, Destiny Spinner & Moon-Blessed Cleric could be worth considering! Other stuff like Druid's Call & Mark of Sakiko as well.

Mark of Sakiko or Bear Umbra might do some work, mostly to enable you to play a lot more stuff? Belt of Giant Strength seems synergistic, it stacks with your +1 counters. Crystal Shard is a pretty good way to get your Commander back in hand, but it can also be used to punish any player who dares use all their mana up (some players are really bad at tracking stuff like this, depending on the playgroup). Rogue's Passage is an interesting way to guarantee the survival of your Goose. If you want more mass removal I have had some luck with Mass Manipulation, it's hard to cast but the effect is pretty strong if you steal more than 1 thing.

I'm not sure if your Goose gets big enough or not, but Tempting Licid is a decent Lure effect, and you can technically attach it to an opponent's creature that attacks (and remove it after blockers are declared) to either wipe out blockers (letting you/others get in) or get a creature killed, you can also use it to put a Lure on something you don't care about so The Goose can get in unblocked (you can save the Licid).

When it comes to ramp and fixing, I find 2 colour decks are extremely forgiving, and having one of those colours be Green makes it even easier to build. One of the annoyances of Enemy Pair decks (like Simic) is that their aren't as many dual lands to choose from, but their are still a few budget range dual lands that come with basic land types, these really pop with stuff like Nature's Lore, which can find a non-Basic Forest, enabling you to get your colours quickly and consistently, but IMHO it's really hard to not hit your colours in a Simic deck. It's really annoying that the only 'budget' typed dual I can think of is Breeding Pool, but that's a long way from budget, and you're only in 2 colours.

If you like +1 counters and drawing cards you might enjoy Generous Patron, if you're desperate you can give your own stuff the counters, but if you want cards you can do so (and still have a body). Another card that might be generally useful is Skullwinder, you can use this to generate political leverage, possibly getting to choose what the opponent will actually get back. Cultural Exchange is an obscure card that can very much take over a game if you time it right, ideally you use it after people have already wiped and hopefully don't have another at the ready. Mass Diminish might be better than Frogify, note that it lasts until your next turn and affects all of a player's creature, yet still comes with Flashback to boot. This is very good with something like Tempting Licid. Transmogrifying Wand might not look very good, but being able to remove the 3 most annoying creatures for a grand total of only 6 mana is pretty sweet, it's also a great deterrent piece once it's out and still has counters, people can't play key creatures until it's dealt with or out of counters. Return of the Wildspeaker is a good way to refill your hand, it's among the best of it's kind, but Momentous Fall is better if you're being wiped or something.

Cool! I played a very similar deck back in the saga block! My one question is why you include so many auras that give trample when your threats already naturally have it? I might cut some of the more expensive auras that are redundant like tiger claws and add good cheap enchantments that add mana and will keep you drawing cards with your enchantresses. Id definitely play 4 Utopia Sprawl and consider Mark of Sakiko One with Nature and possibly Concordant Crossroads. Sweet deck though.

As a backup Voltron target in the 99, have you thought about Kosei, Penitent Warlord? It's a lot of hassles, but many Green Voltron decks already have all 3 parts in it. Not sure if you find you need a backup though!

Any reason you don't use Colossification in here? It's a ton of mana, but if you've already got Hexproof, you play it and next turn you swing with an unblockable 24 power Commander, which sounds pretty good. It's pretty pricey, but Blade of Selves is pretty cool with Unblockable. You don't need very much ramp in your deck I suppose, but Mark of Sakiko exists, as does One with Nature.

Is your Commander high enough power usually to justify a Return of the Wildspeaker or Rishkar's Expertise type effect? 4 power is a bit low, but if you consistently have 6-8 power, they are probably worth a look. I also like War Room and Bonders' Enclave as ways to draw more cards at relatively low deck building cost.

Just had a laugh, was going to say 'Take out Harmonize!', then I saw which art it was and I actually like that art a lot, so kudos! Great work here, the spellslinger emphasis is interesting/refreshing.

Made a few changes--Mark of Sakiko somehow made its way onto my radar, and I'm super excited to test it out! The Caryatid was cut to make room, but it may well return in the future.

I also added Utopia Sprawl for Tangled Florahedron  Flip (one of my favorite cards, RIP my flowery angel), and you know what that means: more forests! Abundant Harvest (another of my favorites, this was not a good day for pet cards) and Exotic Orchard bit the dust for two spicy Theros basics.

Hey there! You mentioned needing some help with the mana base, which is certainly something I might be able to aid you in! Your deck has a whopping 4.69 average mana cost, where 33 lands is around good for a average of 3.5. Due to that, you may want to add a few extra lands but mainly you want to have a very strong ramping mana base. Below, you will find some strong ramp cards that could seriously help a ton, if you aren't aware of them already! I would list out all the lands you should consider including, but you ca also find them right here (https://managathering.com/duallands/Gruul.html)! There are quite a lot of great lands you missed so definitely check that out, along with some multi lands like Prismatic Vista, Fabled Passage, Strip Mine, Wasteland, Reflecting Pool, and a ton more. Anyways though, take a look at these ramp cards:

Gosh that was a lot, but from that huge list I'm sure you can pick a few to add! With your average CMC and amount of lands currently, I'd try to make it around 37 lands, with maybe 13-16 ramp spells, or even more if you think the deck needs it. You could replace the ramp spells above with some of the worse ones , (for example cut Farseek for Nature's Lore, and remember lore can search for Stomping Ground) and maybe cut some more of the fluff cards. Like Star of Extinction is great but how many times do you really end up using it and it benefits you? Plus it'll blow up some of your own creatures! And also remember, while equipment is great, Xenagos is an automatic buff, so maybe you don't need as much of that. My point is, your deck needs a lot of ramp, and while other cards may be nice, it may be much harder to win without the ramp. So that said, I hope this helps, be sure to check out some of my decks (cough Double Trouble EDH ⫸PRIMER⫷ cough), good luck on your deck, and have a wonderful day!

What a cool deck! My deck, Double Trouble EDH ⫸PRIMER⫷, functions quite similarly with a lot of ramp and unblockable spells, so I may be able to give you a few tips! First thing, I would recommend playing a bunch more of unblockable spells. 6/100 cards aren't very reassuring, and there are many more of them that could prove useful! Infiltrate, Cloak of Mists, Canopy Cover, and Aether Tunnel are all pretty good as well! If you have the budget, Thassa, God of the Sea could work well in that regard too. I would also consider a bunch of more pump spells and a couple of neat draw spells. One of the best ones in this regard would be Berserk, basically a 1 hit KO, but as that may not be within your budget, I would look through the following: Blossoming Defense, Briar Shield, Groundswell, Hunt the Hunter, Might of Old Krosa, Mutagenic Growth, Seal of Strength, Vines of Vastwood, Favor of the Overbeing, Might of the Nephilim, Phytoburst, Titanic Growth, Invigorate, Might of Oaks, and of course the final two. Hunter's Prowess, and Hunter's Insight. If you have an unblockable spell, you can draw 12+ cards with arixmethes, and if you have some pump spells, that can be WAY more. Pump spells also increase commander damage, letting you reach your goal relatively quicker. While the pump spells aren't necessary, I think the draw spells would work wonderfully. For lands and ramp, I'll try to stick to cheaper things, so I think Exotic Orchard would work really well, since almost everyone nowadays plays in blue/green, and you'd have pretty great chances. As for ramp, I would definitely include Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, Simic Signet, Birds of Paradise, Nature's Lore, Three Visits (It will be reprinted in commander legends for less than a dollar), Sylvan Caryatid, Explore, Growth Spiral, Emerald Medallion/Sapphire Medallion, Mark of Sakikoand as for non-budget options, Burgeoning, Exploration, and Selvala, Heart of the Wilds. I also do not think you really need the "fatties" section, as they don't directly contribute to the gameplan and they seem to be more of a flavorful aspect. Anyways though, be sure to check out some of my decks, hope this helps, and have a wonderful day! Happy tapping!

Rafiq + Mark of Sakiko works wonders.

My finisher/combo usually consists of Rafiq with Mark of Sakiko, then finishing with Time Stretch or similar cards to cut down all enemies. If that does not finish them, I usually add Regrowth or Recollect to recast extra turn spells as needed.
