Artifact (2)

Enchantment (1)

Overview

There is a lot of synergy in this deck. There are times I've even discovered combos I didn't even know about just by playing it.

This deck has two main paths to winning.

OPTION 1

Go for the combo. There are several combos in this deck with multiple ways to get infinite mana. Once you have infinite mana, abuse Urza's 3rd ability then win.

OPTION 2

Punch them in the face with the construct. As you play, you'll put out more artifacts, making the construct bigger and bigger. As you work toward the combo you can still go the aggro route. In some cases you can just win before you even get to the combo with good ole fashion damage. You can make multiple constructs, one shot them with Blightsteel Colossus , hit them with the multiple tokens that you made and have beefed up with Steel Overseer , and you can make the heavy hitters unblockable with Manifold Key .

Arcbound Crusher can get pretty beefy too.

Once you have infinite mana and you have exiled your entire deck with Urza. You can play Thassa's Oracle and win due to its ability or you can Capsize all permanents to everyone's hand.
Karn, the Great Creator + Mycosynth Lattice = Complete lock down of every opponent

Any 1/1 token + Skullclamp + Sai, Master Thopterist / Mirrodin Besieged + Intruder Alarm + Urza, Lord High Artificer Draw, play artifacts or creatures, draw more cards, play more artifacts or creatures. It produces an effect similar to Paradox Engine .

Arcbound Reclaimer + a modular creature like Arcbound Crusher or Arcbound Ravager + Animation Module + a sac outlet = endless artifact recursion

Inkmoth Nexus + any modular creature with 10 +1/+1 counter + sac outlet = Surprise infect death

Mechanized Production you can expedite this process with the many token generators or counter something with a converted mana cost of 8 or higher with Spell Swindle

For late game you can use Mirrodin Besieged if you have 15 or more artifact in the graveyard.

Some stax elements in this deck is Winter Orb and Static Orb . With urza's ability to tap out artifacts you can make this only effect opponents and not you.

With urza being a mono blue deck Back to Basics can shut down many multi color commanders.

Mycosynth Lattice and Karn, the Great Creator can completely shut down opponents. Not only can it stop planeswalkers from using loyalty abilities but they won't be able to tap lands for mana either.

Manifold Key : it's good utility, but also it allows me to make Blightsteel Colossus unblockable, along with the construct or Arcbound Crusher , Arcbound Ravager , or Inkmoth Nexus if you used the combo.

Mirage Mirror : I personally enjoy this card. It's great utility. I have it in here for fun because it can literally be anything you want at anytime. Someone has Omniscience ? well no worries! because you have it too. Someone has Dark Depths ... Now you have it, w/o the ice counters. You can copy other peoples commanders or make a wincon using your opponents boardstate. If you have Rings of Brighthearth and someone else has Basalt Monolith just copy it. Now you won the game. It can also be hard to get rid of...say someone overloads Cyclonic Rift just turn it into an island, now it can no longer be affected by it or anything else that targets non-land permanents.

Vedalken Orrery : Allows you to activate Urza's ability on other people's turn.

Padeem, Consul of Innovation : Great protection plus card draw.

Arcbound Crusher / Arcbound Ravager with their modular ability if they die you can pass the +1/+1 counters onto any artifact creature. Say you have Animation Module by taping and sacing tokens you make Arcbound Ravager have infinite +1/+1 counters, but if it has summoning sickness. You can Sac it and put the +1/+1 counters on something else. Or if it didn't have summoning sickness and you swing it and a thopter. If they don't block the thopter, you can sac Arcbound Ravager , pass the +1/+1 counters to the thopter and kill them.

All critiques, comments, and suggestions are welcome, also taking suggestions for naming this deck. I just ask if you suggest a card to me to add, please tell me what I should take out. One thing I want to mention is that I do run counter spells but I don't want to run 14 of them. I don't want this to be like every other Urza deck that stalls the game until they have their wincon and wins the exact same way every single time. I like the flexibility of being able to be hit by Denying Wind or Jester's Cap and still having a way to win.

too much stax was a bit too mean for my play group so I toned it down just a bit. And Forcefield didn't help me as much as I wanted to. but it might go back in.
