Knights. Relics. War banners. Glorious last stands.

This deck is built around classic Mardu-style Knight tribal, combining aggressive combat, legendary equipment, and old-school battlefield pressure into a single heavily armed war machine.

At first glance, the strategy looks simple: play knights, suit them up, and attack.

In practice, however, the deck plays more like a wandering order of heavily armed champions, where nearly every creature brings combat abilities, protection effects, or dangerous combat interactions that make blocking a nightmare.

Many of the knights come from older eras of Magic and still carry abilities that remain surprisingly powerful today: protection from colors, first strike, double strike, combat manipulation, recursion, and efficient removal attached to bodies.

Syr Gwyn, Hero of Ashvale ties everything together beautifully: drawing cards, bypassing equip costs, and turning oversized weapons into terrifying offensive tools.

The equipment package ranges from efficient utility to utterly excessive medieval nonsense: Colossus Hammer, Argentum Armor, Kaldra Compleat, Blackblade Reforged, Heartseeker and Vorpal Sword can rapidly turn even modest knights into game-ending threats.

At the same time, several cards reinforce the “army of champions” feeling: Knights' Charge, The Circle of Loyalty, Silverwing Squadron, Kinsbaile Cavalier and Valiant Knight help transform the board from scattered warriors into a full cavalry assault.

The deck intentionally leans heavily into combat rather than combos or heavy control. It wants games to be decided in battle: through pressure, clever attacks, terrifying equipment, and the occasional absurdly over-equipped knight riding into certain death for glory.

Despite some powerful interactions, the build remains relatively casual in spirit and is designed primarily for multiplayer games where politics, combat, and spectacle matter as much as raw efficiency.

Because in the end, this deck follows one simple philosophy:

Chivalry is not dead. It just started carrying bigger swords.
