So this deck comes with bit of a story. A friend of mine has a Uril deck. Last week, I opted to play his deck, as I never had before and wanted to try something new. Well, the Krenko player Zerg-ed out a bunch of goblins and around turn 6-7 with 3 lands on the board from a mulligan to 4, I scooped.

While the game continued, I took a look as his deck. There were some what I considered critical omissions and some fluff that didn't need to be there. I started writing out a list of suggestions of cards that he might consider adding to the deck. When I got to the top of the second column, my friends turned me and said "At this point, aren't you just building a new deck...?" Well, I thought, I could certainly do that...

So after a bit of research into what makes a good Uril deck, some searching through my collection (although, not much, I admit), and some trade ins at my favorite LGS, I present my take on Uril "the Yeti" the Miststalker!

Updates Add

-- Shiv's Embrace

-- Naya Panorama

++ Contested Cliffs

++ Goblin War Paint

This is a brief switch. Being able to get in a little quicker (both in mana cost and with the haste) is more important to me than the flying/fire-breathing.

Switching Naya Panorama out for Contested Cliffs is to help kill things, as the Panorama isn't really doing anything beyond make 1 colorless. Now Uril will be able to kill something out of combat.
