Hello! And welcome to my Selvala, Heart of the Wilds deck.

This deck is quite unlike other decks I've made. Usually I find a legendary creature and then build a strategy around them. For this one I decided what kind of deck I wanted and then found a Commander to match.

I asked myself:What do I want to do? - Well, I want to play big things and win through combat damage.

How do you want to do that? - Either by ramp or by cheating them into play. Some of my favorite cards are Lurking Predators, See the Unwritten, and Selvala's Stampede, so probably in green.

Ok, what are some weaknesses or barriers to that type of deck? - Running out of gas, so I should probably have numerous ways to draw cards.

What commanders fo that? - If you type ("to your mana pool" or ("land" and "onto the battlefield")) and "draw" into magic cards.info and restrict it to legendary creatures you get 5 choices:

Kydele, Chosen of Kruphix - she rewards drawing cards with mana, but I want rewards for playing big things.

Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis - group hug! This hugs a little too hard, I don't want to share.

Thrasios, Triton Hero - takes too long to get going. I don't want to spend 4 mana to generate possibly 1 land.

Selvala, Explorer Returned - again, this one hugs a little too hard.

Selvala, Heart of the Wilds - YES! This does everything I want! Power = mana, check! Big thing = card draw, check! Sure it's mono-green, but that means we get to play all those sweet green fatties that don't fit anywhere else!

Now, the main thing I see wrong with Selvala is how easily she goes infinite. That's not what I want. I want to beat my opponents to a pulp. That means NO: Umbral Mantle, Sword of the Paruns, Paradox Engine, or Cloudstone Curio. This deck ain't about that life.

This deck is to get me back to my EDH Timmy roots, and I'm looking for the funnest suggestions you can think of. If you've ever opened a booster pack and found a fatty amd gone "AWWW YISSSSSSS" I want to know about it. Let's get away from winning, and get back to gaming.
