my take at a scion of the ur-dragon edh.

Tectonic Edge - no one likes playing against Maze of Ith so make rid of it!

High Market - someone trying to steal one of your key dragons? sacrifice it to gain a life instead of letting a big beater become your opponents.

some of the staple cards and some combos.

Sensei's Divining Top i believe every edh deck should have one of these. lets you scry 3 and set up your next draws.

Scourge of Kher Ridges if your opponents are playing lots of hexproof or shrouded creatures then this will help take care of them for the right amount of mana.

Selective Memory + Primal Surge = being able to play your deck and getting lots of triggers from Warstorm Surge and do nasty, nasty amounts of damage. not too hard to pull off though you may want to throw in a Boseiju, Who Shelters All to keep it from being countered.

Hellkite Overlord can be used for either a hasted commander start off. or when being spot removed he can be regenerated.

Chromatic Lantern another edh staple for any deck running 3 or more colors.

Contagion Engine + Contagion Clasp + Magistrate's Scepter = infinite turns.

Hellkite Charger + Nature's Will and at least 5RR means never-ending combat.

Balefire Dragon - pretty much a one sided wrath.

Sheoldred, Whispering One - huge target in edh. but if she sticks, she will be epic. a free reanimate on each upkeep and making them sac' on theirs? awesome.

Nevinyrral's Disk - another huge target in edh. but a reset button when you need it.

Steel Hellkite - somewhat of a staple in edh. comes in handy 9 times out of 10.

Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded + Library of Leng - lets me pick my random discard. plus he has some nice abilities. being able to Insurrection is nice.

Skullclamp edh staple. usually goes on scion just incase my commander dies i get to draw a couple.

Twilight's Call - lets me get all my dragons back out of the yard for 5BB. nice.

Bringer of the Black Dawn - pay 2 tutor your draw. ill take it.

Lotus Cobra - goes well with Collective Voyage whenever im not using Amulet of Vigor

Moltensteel Dragon - turn after scion tutor this pay 34 life and swing for commander.

Sol Ring - biggest edh staple ever. lets you ramp. we all love ramp.
