Raff Capashen Draw-Land-Go EDH

Commander / EDH WU (Azorius)

parker.murray

A control/midrange hybrid deck that capitilizes on the ability to turn a normal EDH game into a fluid experience.

Instants and sorceries focus on interaction and draw, artifacts focus on mana ramp, and creatures and planeswalkers generate value.

I try to avoid powerful cards that are used in many decks in an effort to increase deck building variety.

Protecting Raff with spells and artifacts ain’t it, as you either pull a removal spell against Raff, which you can ideally cast again at the end step, or flash in what you want in response to the target. I also find that one-of protection effects are only useful in decks that are weak against board wipes.
