Welcome Comrade to the people's glorious Bant deck.

This deck is based around stealing your opponent's creatures, and turning them into something better, with a sub-theme of Legendary matters. We will take you into the communist fold and make you legen-dary!

After taking an opponent's creature, I recommend using Birthing Pod, Jalira, Master Polymorphist or Proteus Staff to pull a (potentially) better creature from the deck. The element of chance as you're flipping over cards to the next creature is a lot of fun.

The key to playing this deck is RESTRAINT. While you can possibly steal most of your opponent's creatures starting around the 5th turn, I suggest that you don't play the really strong cards, and don't take creatures that you don't NEED until you're ready to deal with the hate from the table.

Once you are able to get Yisan or Brago or Willbreaker out on the field, you should be in great shape.

With all of the untapping options available in the deck you should be able to regularly cycle through opponent's creatures. I find it helpful to use the shapeshifters to copy group-hug creatures on the boards to make friends and equalize the board state.

Our group has a lot of fun with this deck, as it can easily act as an equalizer by taking attacking creatures to protect weaker members in the group - to maximize fun, I recommend thinking like a socialist while you play it. Get everybody equal, just make yourself a little bit more equal ;)
