This deck is primarily themed around piling a bunch of Auras (and hopefully hexproof/shroud) onto a creature. Bruna is the obvious choice because of her activated ability, but Sovereigns of Lost Alara also hold auras well.

There are solid tribal sub-themes for Angels and Spirits here, supported nicely by Cavern of Souls. These mostly help me hold out until I can drop Bruna in and gear her up. Drogskol Captain + Sovereigns of Lost Alara allows me to get Diplomatic Immunity + Drogskol Captain . Sweep becomes essential at that point.

AEtherling is a solid alternate win condition, and the thought of Tamiyo, the Moon Sage getting to ultimate is scary.

Please note:

1. I don't want to be spending $20+ per card to improve this deck.

2. I refuse to play Iona, Shield of Emeria: her ability might as well read "One player doesn't get to play Magic" and I dislike that.

3. Winter Orb, Portcullis and Humility make for incredibly boring EDH and I refuse to run them. If you run them I will vomit all over you.

4. Much of the land base is basic to dodge Ruination effects. I won't change much of it.
