Maybeboard

This is a prison deck. People will generally not like it. You have been warned.

Overview:

The primary goal is to assemble Teferi + Stasis. The deck can do so on turn 2 in several ways including:

Turn 1: Island + Any two of the following (Sol Ring, Mana Vault, Mana Crypt, Grim Monolith)

Turn 2: Island + Teferi + Untap 4 Permanents + Stasis

OR

Turn 1: Island + Mana Crypt + Basalt Monolith

Turn 2: Island + Teferi + Untap 4 Permanents + Stasis

Redundancy for Stasis takes the form of Static Orb, Winter Orb, Embargo, Rising Waters, and Storage Matrix. The goal is to assemble any of the "orb" cards and either Frozen Aether / Orb of Dreams to essentially lock down your opponents. Anyone that knows you are playing a prison deck will declare a Magic Jihad so speed is key. Worst case scenario: you'll have to dig and there are plenty of ways to do so. As Commander is a game of variance, expect to use them.

Card Choice Overview (not all-inclusive):

Daze/Deprive/Ensnare/Gush/Trade Routes: Life is not always easy for your every day prison player and sometimes mana can be difficult to come by. These spells are cheap or free, generate value, and can provide you with additional untapped lands (assuming Orb of Dreams isn't in play).

Conjurer's Closet + Archaeomancer/Deepglow Skate:Although it may seem strange to run CC with such a small ETB creature population, but the package will do a lot of work mid-game to late game. If you start to struggle maintaining the lock for whatever reason, bringing back cards like Turnabout or Piracy can be huge. Additionally, maintaining a sufficient number of counters on Teferi is key. Once he can ultimate and survive, the game moves quickly.

Deathless Behemoth/Kozilek, the Great Distortion:These are the win cons. Nobody wants to sit around while Faerie Conclave pings the board to death, so legit win conditions were added.Deathless Behemoth is a 6/6 for 6 colorless that doesn't tap to attack. Six colorless is easy to hit and doesn't tax Teferi's ability to maintain the required mana to run the deck. Vigilance has the same benefit, it doesn't tax Teferi.Kozilek, the Great Distortion is sneaky good in this deck. Although Kozilek #1 is the better card all around, Kozilek #2 can provide answers to spells while on the board. Countering spells is typically annoying, but doing so while the board is on lockdown is devastating. Kozilek can swing while resources allow and end the game relatively quickly.
