THINKING...

Yes, I have the Leonin Relic-Warder combo since I already have Animate Dead and Blood Artist in here. My headcanon is that Leonin is like an outcast Khajiit that's been accepted by the vampires. (I know khajiit are Elder Scrolls and not MTG, but I don't care!) Vampiric TutorGC and Diabolic Intent are my good tutors. I do have a spare Demonic TutorGC in my binder, but not sure I want to make this a deck that just tutors for a combo because that's less fun. Vampiric TutorGC wins the flavor award. I got a copy years ago in German before the card became a cringe bougie exclusive. Why don't WotC reprint that? We need it now that they're rolling out so many new good vamps! Scheming Symmetry is genuinely my favorite tutor now due to its political nature, and I should buy another copy before it too becomes blood-chillingly overpriced.

Another obvious combo is Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond, which I avoided for a long time due to it being an overplayed combo, but not so much anymore. Wizards reprinted Exquisite Blood, so now's the time to add it.

BUT STILL...

Vampires are fun, deck is fun, there's a lot going on each turn. Turns out it's about the right power level for my playgroup, so I can give myself a gentle pat on the back. Haven't won with it yet, but I'll pull that off one of these days (now that I have new glasses with bifocals and hopefully stop missing triggers! Oof!)

P.S. I'm so happy I bought the Edgar Markov precon when I did. I only did it because I happened to be away from home and wanted to play. Thankfully he was reprinted and no longer costs one hundred dollars, but people are still paying way too much for it.
