Commander: Tayam, Luminous Enigma

Backstory

Hi, i'm Maru and i've brew Enchantress lists for more than 6 years at this point. Starting on Legacy Enchantress and slowly migrating to EDH.

I always had this desire to try and push the limits of the Enchantress Archetype, and try to reach cEDH status, and i think with the release of Tayam, Luminous Enigma, we can make this push.

This deck is mostly a Primer, to show the enchantress reanimator potential of Tayam. I'm sure it can be finely tuned to greatness.

Besides combo-killing, this deck can also outgrind and outvalue other decks by abusing recursions like Hall of Heliod's Generosity and cost effective enchantments with the "down-side" of sacrificing themselves, like Pernicious Deed or Seal of Cleansing.

Explaining the Tayam Auramancer 1-card combo

Requirements: 4 lands, producing at least 1 of each color

1- Cast Defense of the Heart

2- Upkeep Trigger, sacrifice, tutor and put into play Nyxbloom Ancient and Lost Auramancers

Generate 12 mana, thanks to Nyxbloom Ancient

3- Cast Tayam, Luminous Enigma, and activate its ability, removing the 3 Time Counters from Lost Auramancers, still 5 mana in the pool.

4- Lost Auramancers sacrifice itself, by not having Time Counters, and tutors for Dance of the Dead, Animate Dead or Necromancy, bringing it back with 3 Time Counters on it.

5- Tayam, Luminous Enigma triggers, mill 3 cards return anything you want.

6- Activate Tayam, Luminous Enigma ability again, removing the 3 Time Counters from Lost Auramancers

7- Lost Auramancers sacrifice itself, by not having Time Counters, and tutor for Wilderness Reclamation

8- Tayam, Luminous Enigma triggers, mill 3 cards return the reanimator enchantment you've pulled on step 4, returning Lost Auramancers a 3rd time to play.

9- Go to your endstep, Wilderness Reclamation triggers untapping all your lands, generate 12 mana again. Repeat steps 6,7 and 8, for more 2 times and tutor the Parallax Loop (See bellow)

10 - Now you can choose your finisher, repeating steps 6,7 and 8, and tutoring between option 1 or 2

10.1 - Lifeloss kill Grim Guardian.

10.2 - Abzan milling kill The Binding of the Titans. Add Agent of Erebos for those pesky Eldrazi Titans trying to ruin your fun, if you need since you will have the mana for 2 activations.

Understanding the Parallax Loop

Opalescence and Starfield of Nyx enable the card Parallax Wave to exile itself. This cause her to leave the battlefield, trigger the second condition, and return itself to the battlefield with 5 phasing counters, providing infinite flick effects.

Other enchantments are also creatures, so this effect is abusable to trigger for example, the Saga 1 a infinite number of times, or to trigger constellation a infinite number of times, at instant speed.

Other way to abuse the Parallax Loop, is to exile all creatures your opponents control permanently. You do that by targeting a creature an opponent controls with the exile effect, holding priority and exiling Parallax Wave with itself.

This makes the return to the battlefield (second trigger of Parallax Wave), to happen before the exile of the opponent creature, making the Parallax Loop a repeatable, infinite creature exile loop at instant speed.

Alternative Win-cons with Parallax Loop

If you have a Setessan Champion without summoning sickness in play, you can flick Parallax Wave, to triggers its constellation enough to lethal damage on someone, removing all the blockers as explained above.

The same idea is possible with Phyrexian Scriptures and a creature without summoning sickness.

Infinite mana, because why not?

Basalt Monolith or Grim Monolith + Nyxbloom Ancient = Infinite colorless mana, mostly to activate Tayam, Luminous Enigma Add Mana Bloom for infinite colored mana and go Nuts
