This is my main deck. It has been upgraded and adjusted to fit into several metas and actually functions in a high-powered environment (almost cEDH). Red often deals damage to literally everyone including yourself, but in a 4 player game, that often means you will take way too much damage. So with this deck i've tried to build around that. Hazoret's ability only deals damage to opponents, so i've tried to look for effects that help in this process. She can also be an indestructible blocker, which is something red doesn't usually provide and helps keep our own life total up. First, let's go over some inclusions based on the fact that Hazoret is indestructible: 1. Furious Rise (Consistent Card advantage, without increasing your hand-size) 2. Pyrohemia (Mana Sink that makes it really hard for players to build their board. It's only downside is that you would have to sacrifice it when there are no creatures in play, but with Hazoret, that almost never happens) 3. Kindle the Carnage (3 mana boardwipe that doesn't hit Hazoret and actually brings him online when you have the balls to ditch your entire hand) 4. Pariah's Shield (Makes you take 0 damage) 5. Crimson Honor Guard (helps lower opponents' life totals and not yours) 6. Jaya's Immolating Inferno (Obvious finisher that will damage our opponents and can almost always be cast) Other Boardwipes Blasphemous Act (it's cost is always at least reduced by 1), Earthquake and Rolling Earthquake are again, really synergistic with Hazoret because he will always survive. ---------------------------------------------------------------Next, we will go over some inclusions based on the fact that Hazoret provides a mana sink that deals damage to opponents: 1. Spellshock and Pyrostatic Pillar (playing these change your game plan a bit. You can leave the rest of your mana open and watch your opponent's life totals trickle down while you amplify the damage with Hazoret's ability, negating parts of the retaliation by allowing Hazoret to become indestructible if needed) 2. Basilisk Collar (Allows you to gain a pretty significant amount of life, and makes Hazoret a way scarier blocker with deathtouch) 3. Chandra's Spitfire (This 3-drop is ridiculously good. After a single activation of Hazoret's ability, this creature suddenly has 10 power! 19 on the next activation, and so on) 4. Fires of Invention (Allows you to keep all your mana open for abilities. Many of the lands in the deck have a nice ability, so you still have options when you have one or no cards in hand) -----------------------------------Some combos that don't require Hazoret but still synergize well: 1. Chandra's Spitfire + Pyrohemia A one-shotting flyer that simultaneously removes small blockers. 2. Change of Fortune + Pyromancer's Goggles (Draw a lot of cards) 3. Liquimetal Torque + You Find Some Prisoners / Shattering Spree (Nonland permanent removal) -------------------------------------------- Note: I am no meta slave, so do not recommend me any obvious staples.
