This is my friend and I's take on an oldie but a goodie: the Krark-Clan Ironworks combo. There are several combo lines that can be utilized with a couple of different win conditions.
Krark-Clan Ironworks + Scrap Trawler
Loop
• The setup:
o Krark-Clan Ironworks, Scrap Trawler, and Myr Retriever in play
o Chromatic Sphere or Star and Junk Diver or Workshop Assistant in your graveyard.
• The loop:
o Sacrifice the Myr Retriever to KCI
Add 2 colorless mana
2 Dies triggers go on the stack
• 1 for Scrap Trawler
• 1 for Myr Retriever
Use the Scrap Trawler trigger to target Chromatic Sphere/Star
Use the Myr Retriever trigger to target Junk Diver or Workshop Assistant
o Play Chromatic Sphere/Star for 1 colorless keeping 1 mana floating
o Sacrifice the Sphere/Star to KCI for
Add 2 colorless mana for a total of 3.
o Use the 3 Colorless to play Junk Diver/Workshop Assistant.
o Sacrifice the Junk Diver/Workshop Assistant to KCI
Add 2 colorless mana
2 death triggers go on the stack
• 1 for Scrap Trawler
• 1 for Junk Diver/Workshop Assistant
Use the Scrap Trawler trigger to target Chromatic Sphere/Star
Use the Junk Diver/Workshop Assistant trigger to target Myr Retriever
o Play Chromatic Sphere/Star for 1 colorless keeping 1 mana floating
o Sacrifice the Sphere/Star to KCI
Add 2 colorless for a total of 3
o Use 2 colorless to play the Myr Retriever, netting 1 colorless mana, and the loop starts over.
• Payout:
o Infinite cast triggers, ETB triggers, death triggers, and colorless mana.
o If using Chromatic Star, you can also draw through your deck to find a win condition. More on that later.
Alternative Loop
• This loop can generate mana faster and by replacing Sphere/Star with a mana positive rock like Mana Vault, Mana Crypt, Mox Opal, Mox Amber, or Sol Ring
Krark-Clan Ironworks + Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle
Loop
• The setup:
o Teshar, Ancestor’s Apostle, Krark-Clan Ironworks, a grave robber (Myr Retriever, Junk Diver, Workshop Assistant, or Scrap Trawler) and a low-cost artifact on the battlefield. In this example we are going to use Chromatic Star, but Chromatic Sphere or a mana positive rock works also.
• The loop:
o Sacrifice the Chromatic Star to KCI
Add 2 colorless mana to mana pool
Draw a card
o Sacrifice the grave robber to KCI
Add 2 colorless mana to mana pool for a total of 4
Return the Chromatic Star to hand
o Play the Chromatic Star for 1
Teshar’s ability triggers returning the grave robber to the battlefield. Now you are back where you started but have netted 3 colorless mana and drawn a card.
• If you don’t have one in hand or on the board, you can use this loop to draw through your deck to find your win condition. More on that later.
• Payout:
o Infinite Cast triggers from the Chromatic Star, infinite ETB and death triggers from the grave robber, infinite colorless mana.
Ashnod's Altar + Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle
• The setup:
o This loop is similar to the previous one but uses Ashnod’s Altar instead of Krark-Clan Ironworks and requires 2 grave robbers on the battlefield. In this example we will use Myr Retriever and Junk Diver.
• The loop:
o Sacrifice Myr Retriever to Ashnod’s Altar
Add 2 colorless mana to mana pool
o Sacrifice Junk Diver to Ashnod’s Altar
Add 2 colorless mana to mana pool for a total of 4
Junk Diver’s ability targets Myr Retriever, returning it to your hand.
o Play Myr Retriever for 2 colorless
Teshar’s ability triggers targeting Junk Diver and returning it to the battlefield. Now you are back where you started but have netted 2 colorless mana.
• Payout:
o Infinite cast triggers, ETB triggers, death triggers, and colorless mana
Karmic Guide + Reveillark
Loop
• The setup:
o Karmic Guide, Reveillark, and a creature sacrifice outlet like Ashnod’s Altar or Phyrexian Altar. In this example we will use Phyrexian Altar. Reveillark can return up to 2 creatures, but it is not necessary for the loop to work.
• The loop:
o Sacrifice Karmic Guide to Phyrexian Altar
Add one W/B to mana pool
o Sacrifice Reveillark to Phyrexian Altar
Add one W/B to mana pool for a total of 2 mana
Reveillark’s ability triggers targeting Karmic Guide and returning it to the battlefield
Karmic Guide’s ETB trigger targets Reveillark and you are back to where you started netting 2 mana of your chosen colors.
• Payout:
o Infinite ETB triggers, death triggers, and W/B mana.
Win Conditions
• Any of these loops can be used with Corpse Knight, Cruel Celebrant, Zulaport Cutthroat, or Blood Artist to drain the table of life.
• The infinite mana you accumulate can be dumped into Torment of Hailfire (keep in mind you need ).
• The infinite cast triggers can be combined with Tendrils of Agony to Storm out and drain the table. Keep in mind that it requires to cast though.
