My first EDH deck - I pulled a copy of Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief out of the box of Rise of the Eldrazi that I bought after coming back to Magic. I loved her, but she didn't quite fit into my 60-card Vampire deck (as much as I wanted to force her in), so when I found out about EDH shortly after that, I never even thought about choosing another legend to build my first EDH deck with.

Big Mana

Cabal Coffers (and Vesuva for a second copy) is the real general here...

Caged Sun , Extraplanar Lens and Gauntlet of Power for mana doublers. Crypt Ghast and Nirkana Revenant for mana doublers on creatures.

Liliana of the Dark Realms for tutoring Swamps (keeping Coffers powered) mainly. Getting to ultimate her is a dream - I've only had it happen once (and it was glorious).

Jet Medallion reduces the cost of black spells.

Control

Rings of Brighthearth for copying Drana's ability, and Arcane Lighthouse for removing shroud/hexproof from potential targets.

Black Sun's Zenith , Damnation , In Garruk's Wake , Plague Wind , Mutilate and Toxic Deluge for wraths.

Hero's Downfall for targeted removal. Ashes to Ashes, Scour from Existence and Sever the Bloodline for exiling threats (the latter also hosing tokens).

Oblivion Stone and Perilous Vault help with pesky enchantments/artifacts.

Sadistic Sacrament for killing a combo deck (or just removing good cards from a deck).

Corrupt , Exsanguinate , Sorin's Vengeance for life drain effects. Blood Tribute (with a Vampire out) can be a win condition with Sanguine Bond / Defiant Bloodlord .

Ob Nixilis Reignited for card draw and removal, Sorin Markov mostly for the ping/lifelink ability.

Phyrexian Arena and Necropotence for card draw.

Vedalken Orrery allows the deck to be played at instant speed.

Creatures

Grave Titan for making a Zombie army (either for an army or as food for Drana).

Ob Nixilis, Unshackled for punishing tutors and also becoming a big flying trheat (also acts as a huge lightning rod for removal).

Rune-Scarred Demon for a tutor and a big flying threat.

Sepulchral Primordial for a mass reanimator.

Steel Hellkite for destroying nonland permanents/tokens.

Thief of Blood and Vampire Hexmage for removing counters from Planeswalkers or other permanents.

Vampire Nighthawk for a lifelink/deathtouch flier.

Equipment Voltron

Lightning Greaves and Swiftfoot Boots give haste and shroud/hexproof, Darksteel Plate gives indestructibility.

Blade of the Bloodchief for giving Drana counters when things die.

Sword of Vengeance for a buff and a bunch of abilities.

Lashwrithe for a huge buff based on number of Swamps.

Batterskull for lifelink/vigilance.

Fireshrieker for double strike.

Combos

Though I don't actively seek them out (even with tutors), the deck does have some combos:

1. Cabal Coffers + Deserted Temple + Rings of Brighthearth + 6 Swamps = Infinite Black Mana.
2. Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth + 2 Mana = Infinite Colorless Mana.
3. With infinite mana, add one of the following:
   • Drana + at least one creature = wipe all targetable creatures (by toughness) and give Drana infinite power
   • Black Sun's Zenith = wipe all creatures (-1/-1 counters)
   • Exsanguinate = wipe all opponents
   • Steel Hellkite = infinite power
   • Diabolic Revelation = tutor your whole deck (or however much you want)
