Combat damages and triggers

Commander / EDH GWU (Bant)

Stoutarm

This deck has a plenty of fun pet cards that don't seem useful at first glance, such as Morphling and her two friends from overseas, but their damage potential can be insane. There's also some creatures which don't seem useful at second glance either, such as Mirror-sigil sergeant, but that's because they're not that useful, they're just there for the wow-factor, but he can provide some insane potential to the table, if he's left alone to multiply and I happen to control one or two Sublime archangels. There's also Gemini engine, which is there for the huge-ass token he can create. Trust me, machine does significant amount of work with all five (5) swords on. He might lack hands, but he sure does not lack power. Other than those, this deck strongly focuses on combat damage triggers, Rafiq being there mostly as an anthem of sorts, so he can just chill with his lion and do like male lions do: sit back and let their bitches do all of the work. So wincons include the Gotcha cards, which are the three infectors in the deck: Putrefax, Phyrexian Hydra and Corrupted Conscience. They mostly are cards that one shot people with Rafiq. For the real deal wincons, there's the JR foil Morphling, which is obviously more powerful than your regular Morphling, so regular one wouldn't just do nearly as much as the JR one, so if someone decides to copy my list and cut corners, the JR morphling is not an option to swap for a normal one, unless you really want to end up with a strictly inferior bad deck, you'll need the JR foil of the card. I mean seriously, look at that swagger and bling on it, it shines your opponent's blind and its magnificence causes your opponents to do bad choices. When your opponents catch on to your gameplan and start to figure out your ruse, too bad for them, since Morphling can protect itself like no other Morphling can, with it's ability to give itself shroud, so it just fizzles all of your opponent's removal. That is unless they play wraths like a complete toot, which is the sole reason why I play Genesis. If it's not already clear, the JR foil Morphling is the corner card of the deck. Literally more important than Rafiq is, whom I cut the instant I can play JR foil Morphling in the command zone or WotC finally prints a legendary of that cycle, with at least 7 abilities or way to copy abilities like Mairsil, and then release a JR foil of that one. 'Nuff said.
