Kykar has no time for living creatures, all her friends are dead. She only hangs with spirits now, bird spirits specifically.... at least I think they're birds.

This deck has one goal and one goal alone, make spirits. What are we casting to make spirits? Intangible Virtue, Favorable Winds, Honor of the Pure, Crusade,Glory of Warfare, True Conviction, ect. ect. ect. Every spell in this deck will not only net us one spirit, most of them will make our "bird" spirits bigger and harder to deal with.

So obviously Kykar is very important to the deck and we need to protect her and our bird spirits at all costs. Thant will be done with Indestructibility, Swiftfoot Boots, Rootborn Defenses, Make a Stand, Unbreakable Formation, and Boros Charm.

Now how do we win? We win by punching face and drawing cards. Cards like Keep Watch, Coastal Piracy, and Bident of Thassa will keep our hands full to continue casting spells and making spirits...bird spirits. Cards like the aforementioned True Conviction, Cathars' Crusade, Shared Animosity, and Waves of Aggression will help us close out games and punch through enough damage to at the least dictate how they end.

A few standout allstar cards in the 99 are definitely Anointed Procession, Open the Vaults, Enlightened Tutor, and Idyllic Tutor.

This deck almost runs on the same plane as a voltron deck, but it operates on a completely different axis. Kykar is crucial to the strategy and needs to be protected, but the deck doesn't completely fold when shes taken out. The ability to rebuild quickly is very real, and the fact you're going wide with tokens that eventually become individual threats make this a blast to pilot.
