Pendant of Prosperity

Artifact

This enters the battlefield under an opponent's control of your choice.

, : Draw a card, then you may put a land card from your hand onto the battlefield. Pendant of Prosperity's owner draws a card, then that player may put a land card from their hand onto the battlefield.

SteelSentry on How Good is Temple Bell?

I love playing one or two group hug cards in all my lower power decks, but there's better options that have been printed. Pendant of Prosperity is a personal favorite, either allying with one player or giving the player in last place a Faustian deal to get them back in the game, for a price. Share the Spoils isn't good for every deck with red, but plenty of decks play cards that aren't too tempting, and when the pool is mostly your cards it plays like a discount Outpost Siege.

EDITS:

Okay, I moved Pendant of Prosperity, Memory Plunder, Thada Adel, Acquisitor, and Switcheroo to the Sideboard. Put in Military Intelligence, Nyx Lotus, Everflowing Chalice, Clone Legion. This makes it focus more on creature copying and stealing, with better mana/card draw and less focused on trading creatures, stealing sorcery/instants, and stealing via "damage opponent".

I'm not a big fan of affects that only occur when you go unblocked because it's just a bit inconsistent and it can potentially never end up going off. Although, that could just be indicating a flaw in my decks/playing lol.

No, Opposition isn't really group hug. XD those are just the finishers. Gotta win sometimes. If you want a slower, real group hug deck, I'd suggest using cards like Humble Defector, Pendant of Prosperity, and Bucknard's Everfull Purse. Makes for some fun politics. Or just tell everyone to run Bonder's Ornament. Or just run a Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis deck XD

DrukenReaps on Commanders You Defend?

RNR_Gaming you skipped over several of my points ;)

I'd also point out the majority of commanders do the same things every game to some extent. Atraxa decks are all walkers or generic counter decks, Meren decks all reanimate the same handful of things, Lathril is just elfball, Kozilek is just eldrazi tribal, Yuriko is either ninja tribal or big cmc, Edgar goes high cmc control vampires or low cmc aggro vampires. Very rarely do people have obscure decks without predictable strategies. The details can change as they have in my Mairsil deck from time to time. Sometimes I use Oona as my win con, other times tree of perdition, or even just turning Mairsil sideways after hex parasite eats a few planeswalkers. There's more to if you want me to go into it. People that look at Mairsil often limit themselves rather than be creative with him.

"Since release I would say the only thing that 100% goes into almost every list is Asmodious." This is just false and no one ever backs it up when they say it because they can't. Asmodeus the Archfiend, Unmarked Grave, The Deck of Many Things, Endling, Oriq Loremage, Pendant of Prosperity, Thassa, Deep-Dwelling, Spark Double, Sakashima of a Thousand Faces, Doom Whisperer, Ormos, Archive Keeper, Teferi's Time Twist, Notion Rain, Shenanigans, Battlemage's Bracers, Netherborn Altar, Lithoform Engine, Sanctum of Eternity, Wizard's Spellbook, and more. These all easily fit into Mairsil lists and make for difficult choices on what to keep and what to cut. Again though if you wanted to only build as optimally as possible there are only 2 or 3 things that lead to victories. Although even one of those didn't exist until after Mairsil was printed, Thassa's Oracle. He gets plenty of toys, people are just unimaginative imo.

Since you want to give people useless stuff, Coveted Jewel is incredible for Inniaz, and Pendant of Prosperity cool if you want to play nice with the person sitting to your right.

Hi NetholonTheArchmage !

One year has passed and I'm always in love with your deck.

I was wondering why you were playing Minamo, School at Water's Edge . You've nice synergies, especially with Serra's Sanctum , but that's all the card does.

I spended many time to change some cards of your deck. I find that Pendant of Prosperity , Tolaria West and Dack Fayden fit very well in the deck, as Humility or Land Tax , but you probably already know for those ones.

Arcane Lighthouse and/or Shadowspear are great cards to deal with shroud/hexproof/indestructible, depending your playgroup. It's same for graveyard hate, but I'm still looking for a good card cause I also play with my graveyard.

I considered many time Nine Lives to Phyrexian Unlife , but still prefer the unlife to avoid loss of life cards, like Exsanguinate (where Nine Lives protect only for damage).

Trying to replace Robe of Mirrors (I don't like aura, they vanish with board wipes), I find Spiritual Asylum , wich seems perfect on the spot. But I don't feel confortable with the shroud effect it give. Sure, it protect your creatures and (most important) your lands, but it cancel the Zedruu's ability on lands, wich I'm used to give . Still keeping in mind Lightning Greaves , but it can't be tutored with Wild Research

I'm not a big fan about Illusions of Grandeur when you play Solitary Confinement . Why gaining 20 LP when you can never lose them ? I honestly find the combo unreliable and too much slow.

Finally, thank you for your work. It really make me love Zedruu, and gived me the strength to start building a deck (I mean, ctrl c - ctrl v your deck). Best of luck to you, can't wait for next update

If you do decide to build Mairsil, the Pretender, basically what you do is you make half your deck cards that have an activated ability, then lands and little bit of other whatever.

Some really good cards for Mairsil with activated abilities are:

Blighted Bat (Gives haste)

Cinderhaze Wretch (Discard+Untap)

Doom Whisperer (Mills, good for setting up Mairsil)

Horseshoe Crab (Untaps)

Kozilek, the Great Distortion (Counters stuff)

Mirror-Mad Phantasm (Not sure about ruling, but dumps portion of library in grave)

Morphling (Untap+Shroud)

Quicksilver Elemental (Targeting Mairsil, makes it so he can do his abilities any number of times per turn, it's gnarly)

Pendant of Prosperity (Again, weird rulings, but I believe it gives you crazy value because you control Mairsil aka Pendant and your its owner.)

Gilded Lotus (Should hopefully be obvious)
