I think I could swap in most 5 color commander options in place of Tazri, Beacon of Unity and be...ok. That said, I wouldn't do it. Its a party deck to the core.

Archetypes are a construct of communication. If the deck doesn't fit inside the box, you either need a box of a better shape, a bigger box, or more boxes.

Additionally, Children of Korlis with Veinwitch Coven are a great match with Carnival of Souls / K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth , Blood Celebrant , and Blight Mound . It's a 5 card combo, but I think this deck can pull it off.

Skola Grovedancer is a card I recommend if you plan on activating Tayam a lot. I use it in my Tayam deck.

Maybe look into Children of Korlis and Tivash, Gloom Summoner as well. They could be a potent pair.

Morph does just give you 2/2s. I think the idea is that its a value play that will always work.

My personal idea is mutate, but choosing to place the mutate creature and the copy on the bottom of the targetted creature. I'm not going to build it, but the math involved is fun.

Xenograft doesn't work because it just adds a creature type on top of what your creatures normally have. Unnatural Selection works fine, but a card you might look at is Mistform Wakecaster .

I was thinking Temur for Mycoloth and Esix, Fractal Bloom . Make the saprolings into one of the cards I listed above and Academy Manufactor goes nuts. Sure, you could do simic, but then you can't fling food at people.

There might also be some possibilities with Sultai, but that is straying a bit to far from the flavor combo RambIe was talking about.

Flavor of this combo is...delicious.

I think you could build on this by making token copies of Parcel Myr , Mimic , Golden Egg , or Gingerbrute . It might not be right for your deck, maybe somewhere else.

You've already been given solid advice, so I'll just suggest something I have been playing with in my recently built Aminatou deck.

Rampage of the Valkyries and Firja's Retribution both create an angel token on ETB and both allow you to destroy creatures your opponents control.

Also, a long time favorite card of mine is Emeria Shepherd , especially when Aminatou can guarentee a landfall trigger.

It was actually the only triggers once part that was at issue.

I just checked and it turns out the question was answered on this site a while back for the card Dramatic Finale , and the ruling was that it doesn't work. I guess it's good you had decided not to run the card. Anyways, I feel like I just added confusion here, so I wanted to get that trigger issue figured out.

Yeah, I've been planning a clones heavy Sefris, maybe with some flickers thrown in for my list.

One thing I wasn't planning was the Acererak loop. Maybe Dream Halls as a back up or alternate for Omniscience , Especially if you discard a creature card.

Teysa Karlov could definitely pull weight with Sefris's trigger, assuming I'm not confusing how their abilities interact.

Yes, creatures are removed from combat as "end of combat" step ends. Before this point, any creatures that attacked are still attacking, even if combat damage has already been dealt.

I'm not seeing much interaction with the legendary rule, and with so few creatures in the deck, Sakashima doesn't have all that many things to become a copy of.

With Prava and Kydele, you'd have consistent token generation and more mana to make them. It would also open up some options like High Alert , Huatli, the Sun's Heart , and Assault Formation .

It's up to you, though. Sakashima & Sidar Kondo can work, so if you want to keep them, maybe consider theft effects like Chamber of Manipulation (there are many others) or cards like Faerie Artisans (a bit expensive, but a powerful card for this type of deck). This would give Sakashima more versatility, at the very least.

Aminatou the Skald

I've been meaning to build a deck around Aminatou, the Fateshifter for a long time. This deck is centered around sagas and a few things from Kaldheim that I though would be fun, and is intentionally not running Oath of Teferi or The Chain Veil , as I really want to play a deck that isn't all about setting up a combo and winning.

Let me know what you think.

Personally, I think a different partner pair would be easier to work with and keep the deck much the same. Prava of the Steel Legion and Kydele, Chosen of Kruphix would be my suggestion.

Anyways, Echoing Equation is a card I recommend as a finisher. It is a lot of fun with populate effects, as well.

Maybe Kelpie Guide ? Its not really on theme, but it could be worth a shot.

Cascading Cataracts and Expedition Map might help with the mana issue from your deck description without going to far out of budget.

Quickspell It matters because you need Treachery to be on the battlefield when you would draw, not still on the stack.
