I first started playing MTG tabletop style with my friend Terry in like 20010. We were both very poor and neither of us had internet access or a means to buy cards. Just a shoebox full of commons. I remember goin through our cards while sitting in the toilet when I discovered a really cool strategy: I could take one of Terry’s creatures with Act of Treason attack him with it, and then sacrifice it to Nantuko Husk to kill it. This was my first taste of aristocrats. When we eventually got into playing commander I used those same ideas from tabletop to build my first ever commander deck lead by Tymaret, the Murder King. That deck eventually evolved into THIS deck. Meet my pet deck.

Certainly an aristocrat type build with Grave Pact, Dictate of Erebos, Butcher of Malakir, and Martyr's Bond doing heavy work to make sure opponents can’t keep creatures around. Edgar gives us easy sac fodder with the tokens he creates, and the deck is loaded with effects like Viscera Seer Ashnods alter to make sure we always have a way to kill out things.

The deck is loaded with removal for non creature spells, Vindicate and Generous Gift are great and a really think Necrotic Sliver is an underrated choice for these type of decks; he’s a creature who can attack and block if needed, he has a built in sacrifice ability, and he can blow up a permanent! Value city right there. I’ve added multiple forms of card draw, things like Village Rites, and Skullclamp, as well as the classic Phyrexian Arena to make sure we’re always cooking with gas. This deck usually wins with either Edgar Markov killing opponents with commander damage or our vampire art becoming too powerful for our creaturless opponents to deal with. It That Betrays can be slow to get out, but once it hits the field, if it’s not dealt with, the game is basically yours.

Nim Deathmantle, Ashnod's Altar, and Callous Bloodmage can be used as a combo to grant infinite death/sacrifice triggers and infinite life gain.

Let’s be honest Edgar Markov is kind of busted. His eminence ability is way too good. He goes to work without ever having to be cast, spitting out fodder for us to use to Attrition our way to victory.
