The deck wins by looping Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Abhorrent Overlord with Ever After. The combo can also work with Beacon of Unrest but you need a high devotion count to make this work. Sengir Autocrat can be used in place of Abhorrent Overlord, however it is beneficial to have a Pawn of Ulamog on the field when using him. If Gray Merchant of Asphodel is exiled he can be replaced with Blood Artist and Zulaport Cutthroat. This is not the optimal line of play, but it will keep the constant tutoring from killing you. The combo is assisted by Phyrexian Altar and if Abhorrent Overlord is exiled, Ashnod's Altar will have to be used in conjunction with the Phyrexian Altar.
